(I read somewhere someone saying that the first few times they heard "Domino" they thought it was gonna be a deodorant or tampon ad - "I'm feeling sexy and free-ee-eee!" I like the song, but now I always think of that!)

LMAO, one of my local friends requested WWFM once and was told that they couldn't play it because it had "damn" in the title. Give me an effing break.
Listening to urban-leaning KIIS, there are some songs that you are lucky to even get half the words in one line because so many are bleeped out. Explicit sexual content EVERYWHERE and they are not bleeping out "ass," let me tell you. Let's not mention songs such as "Fuck You," "Fucking Perfect," etc. in the title. (Though they changed them to F*, etc. no one is remotely fooled by that...)
It's a BS excuse and radio edits are easy. And if Adam tried to bend himself into a pretzel to kowtow to the ludicrous right, he probably couldn't sing the ABC song to their satisfaction, so ... F* them.

Saw you guys talking about Domino. That song took FOREVER to climb the charts. I remember hearing it briefly on our pop station around here back in the summer or right around when Price Tag was winding down and heard it maybe 4 times and then it died. Like just went ded. Didn't even hear it on Sirius. I thought it had flopped and then low and behold it came outta nowhere to dominate the radio. Just goes to show we never know what is goin to happen or how long it will take. Weird it took so long seeing as how it's a Katy Perry knockoff song sung by a pretty girl and radio EATS that shit up??? It did take FOREVER, especially after having a great song like Price Tag! IDK about the pretty part, not Katy Perry pretty.  Something about JJ"s personality is slightly off-putting and she wears those bodysuits!  She is someone who can actually sing, though! |

I totally get a Black Horse/Cherry Tree vibe from Trespassing, but I wonder if this is due to the acoustic arrangement. Isn't this the song that's supposed to have a thundering bassline, hand claps, chanting, and a breakdown near the end that's just Adam's voice?
About Domino, imo that was the classic case of the label making some kind of major deal. My KISS station went from completely ignoring it to spinning it every other hour. I hear it all the time now.

Tiger--You think Price Tag was a better song? Apples and Oranges bc I think it is one of the worst pop songs in a long time.
I think maybe JJ's problem so far is that she doesn't seem to have her own musical identity yet. She can sing and that do it lie a dude song is fierce and I've seen her sing some other songs on youtube that are amazing, but her singles so far have been underwhelming. Price Tag--eww--and Domino which is soooo Katy Perry my local dj made a joke once about how people call up and request the "new Katy Perry song" and he was like IT'S JESSE J. NOT KATY".
