(He was the first American artist ever invited to perform at the event.) Along with acoustic renditions of his new single "Better Than I Know Myself" and the For Your Entertainment tracks "Whataya Want From Me" and "Fever," he treated the snowbound crowd to two new songs from his hotly anticipated upcoming album, Trespassing, one of which was hot enough to melt all the ice outside.The first of his new tunes, "Outlaws Of Love," should already be familiar to diehard Glamberts, since Adam performed it last July at the Sainte Agathe Festival in Quebec and the song was all over YouTube like, eight minutes later. But Adam's unveiling of Trespassing's title track this past Sunday was cause for celebration indeed. Last week in my Trespassing album preview, I described this Pharrell/Adam co-write as a Queen-influenced disco partystarter, and interestingly/encouragingly, even in an acoustic setting, the song still had that fierce and funky feel. If this is how "Trespassing" sounds unplugged, just wait until people hear the actual electric version! Check out the first live performance of "Trespassing" below:

Does the station broadcast the American Top 40 countdown on the weekend? WWFM was played as part of that (as an "extra" whatever that means). I believe the mediabase list of songs is autogenerated, so since they played the song once as part of the countdown it would show up on the list for a few days.... I think the list is autogenerated too -- only because there are 2 stations that I tried to request from and the link came up with "not enough info reported in the past 7 days blah, blah, blah". So, it sounds like (to me) that perhaps someone didn't report something from the specific radio station. Of all the stations that I request from only Sirious has Better Than I Know Myself on the form. Ok - I think I'm a moron. Whenever *I* go to the Sirius sites and the "Vote" now pages, I never see Adam. I always just write him in. HAVE I BEEN TRYING TO VOTE ON THE WRONG PAGES ??!!??!!??!! |

I like "Price Tag", it sounds much better than "Domino" IMO. But I don't think she can compare with Katy.
Jessie's voice does not appeal to me, I know she can sing, just don't know why. Katy's pretty face has slayed lots of people.
I always think she is a joke to the music industry.
Thank Goodness we give Bieber to US, never hear his song on my radio!
Don't understand why the industry work this way!

K, guys! It is time to do the daily requests. And remember, if we request BTIKM, during the day from Q102, it will start off at the top of the list for the Takeover hour (AKA, Whack a Mole!) This one is really important! Maxwell told us, via twitter last week, that if you request during the day at this link, it moves the song up on the TakeOver hour. It will start at the top and get played faster. So far, it has worked like a charm! www.q102.com/main.html Scroll about mid-way down the page and you will see a small rectangular box that says REQUEST A SONG. Type in Adam Lambert and the song comes up right below. Then click on the green thumbs up & the cursor will say, "Play More.'" That gets the song played earlier on the TakeOver hour. Tiger--You think Price Tag was a better song? Apples and Oranges bc I think it is one of the worst pop songs in a long time. I think maybe JJ's problem so far is that she doesn't seem to have her own musical identity yet. She can sing and that do it lie a dude song is fierce and I've seen her sing some other songs on youtube that are amazing, but her singles so far have been underwhelming. Price Tag--eww--and Domino which is soooo Katy Perry my local dj made a joke once about how people call up and request the "new Katy Perry song" and he was like IT'S JESSE J. NOT KATY". I snickered. Yes, I do! It was something about the beat that was more automatic. The cha-ching and money, money, money were ear worms. All the kids my daughter's age put it up on their face books, etc. right away. Jessie's voice is probably way better than the pop-lite crap she is having to do, but then again, compromising is what most of them are having to do! Thanks. This is the one I have and it will go to my iTunes but won't go on my iPod. It converts to a mp4 video instead. :-/ And when I move it over to make a CD it won't do it. I went to the Apple Store today (Yeah..I'm that desperate lol!) and she tried to fix it but it wouldn't do it for her either. She said there is something about it that the iPod won't convert.  But I appreciate everyone's help.  Thanks, Valilac. Can this program also covert a video to a mp4? I am not very good with this kind of stuff and I always worry about getting a virus since I've had FIVE of them!! I would like to get mp3's and mp4's from a youtube video. |

Pop singers need radio hits. They have to sing songs that sometimes don't really show what they can do with their voice. They have to compromise because they need radio hits. Their image has to match up with their songs and it needs to be something that is appealing to the majority of pop radio listeners.
