I attended some Pittsburgh Penguins hockey games in the early 90’s, I believe Christina lived in the area at the time. She was around 9 or 10 and she sang the National Anthem. It was amazing to see this young girl belt out the National Anthem, it was like where did that voice come from. Seeing this reminded me of then.

I’m glad Adam finally got to sing with Cristina. Glad he might have got it out of his system now. I know very little of her but my impression is that she has never fallen over herself to be a ‘gay ally’ to Adam…after all the fawning over her he has done over the years. There was a time when a tiny gesture towards a struggling Adam could have helped enormously.- like so many of these straight stars who profit from the adulation of the gay community. Where were they for Adam? She doesn’t seem to have the professional generosity that he shows to everyone he comes 8nto contact with. And he could sing circles round her, given a better chance than he had last night. Perhaps given his increasing presence, she thinks he’s an asset to her now, (Have I gone too far?) Happy to be wrong - and to be told so! I agree with everything you say. I’m glad that Adam got to perform with Cristina because it made him so happy. I just hope he never goes on tour with her for all the reasons you say. I fear that his adulation of her might make him overly deferential. On the other hand, I would love to see Adam at least do a single with Beverly Knight. She and Adam are so well-matched. It seems that they have a real friendship and that they both understand that they can be sexy without sleazy. I think the voices are well-matched. Adam has made such huge strides this year that he needs to keep this upward movement.

I could not hear Xtina all that well either but a little better than Adam. But you could not hear them as well as we normally hear from Adam's performances. But the audience maybe could hear them clearer and everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun. And Adam looked so good and sexy but always in a classy way. If you've got the talent, stature and the looks you don't need to try to be shocking or sleazy to get noticed, lol. Often at these type of one off events, the audio equipment (speakers, amplifiers, etc.) are rented, and they usually do not rent the top of the line equipment that QAL has. So the audio on the audience video recording will not be as good. Plus, I think that over the years Adam fans have learned which brands/models record better video & audio. Ever notice how the video recording from Adam fans who do a lot of the videos is generally better sounding than some others?

NBCAdam Lambert Joined Christina Aguilera for a Powerful Rendition of "Lady Marmalade"We couldn't have asked for a better combo for Pride month!
< Video of Ordinary World performed during the Voice finale >
Christina Aguilera and another amazing vocal powerhouse joined forces in the best way to celebrate Pride Month! On June 25, the former The Voice Coach performed an epic rendition of her 2001 hit "Lady Marmalade" at the Pride Island festival in New York City. Aguilera strutted on stage in a glitter bodysuit while rainbow lights and backup dancers swirled around behind her. When it was time for the second verse, she welcomed the one and only Adam Lambert to the stage, and the crowd went wild. When Lambert and Aguilera sang together, they belted their hearts out while shimmying to the rhythm. Lambert hit a sustained note that was impressively in Aguilera's octave before Aguilera ended the performance on a bang by singing a perfected run in one breath. Lambert recounted the awesome performance on his Instagram page, gushing over Aguilera's talent and inspiration to him as a vocalist. "Who knew that a friendly ‘have a great show’ text would turn into an invitation to perform with the iconic diva Xtina?! Like many of you know, I’ve been a stan for her since like…. ‘2000!!! I learned how to truly wail listening to her. Thank you Xtina for this surreal moment to celebrate NY Pride!!! I adore you! 💕💕💕" Lambert captioned the post with glee. Lambert was more than worthy to accompany Xtina on stage, as he has proven that he can sing anything and make it sound good. Exhibit A? His rendition of the classic nursery rhyme "The Muffin Man" at a concert in London earlier this month. But the twist? He pulled it off with a perfect Cher impression.
