SophieB and phronni7, I wholeheartedly agree with both your comments on this page. I haven’t read through the whole thread yet and others may have expressed similar thoughts, however I haven’t even come close to the excitement level about the Xtina duet that Adam seems to feel. If the minute on stage with the diva was a lifetime goal achieved I am happy for him, however I can’t shake the feeling that too many straight “allies”, and most of them female “powerhouses”, use the adulation of the gay community to boost their own careers with very little effort in return to really promote someone who has more hurdles to climb to get there. That last minute schtick the other day was just not enough for me.
