OK, so far in the thread today I see jackets for sale, t-shirts, a tail... SO where in blazes is the green smishy sweater of angst from the BTIKM video? I still want that sweater! Me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need that sweater in my life! It's perfect in every way and I simply cannot walk moodily around my house eating popcorn and watering plants with a miniature watering can unless I have it! >:( Why have our ninjas failed us? Surely the Smishy Sweater of Angst is out there somewhere...   OMG we were too busy this week , but I swear starting from now I will try to find it! And I bet MANY people are doing the same, probably one of us will be lucky! |

Hi ame, Blogsopt is one of my "go to's" for a quick look as well. I was shocked when I saw mellimom and you wondering about these blogs. I went to them and they were fine. I even read them this morning. I went back to see you who was actually asking the question so as to put something in the thread. When I went back to copy24/7 http address 24/7 WAS GONE!!! BUT blogspot changed the name awhile back to adambertdaily. My favorite link did not work for a bit then I found it through google. When I went through google, it wants you to log in, which I did not care to do. Did I hear correctly that Madonna will be on AI this week? I find this odd. It seems the industry is constantly saying that Idol winners must constantly try and separate themselves from the Idol stigma but then someone as successful as Madonna, Gaga, etc. choose to perform on the show because of the huge audience. So, you can go there but not be from there? Seems just a little hypocritical.

This is me venting, but WTF is going on with Pulse and MJs this era? I used to lurk in both places, but lately it's been un-lurk-able, the conversation is so negative. They're both self-selected populations, so the negative types (most of whom have other agendas entirely) dominate the conversations, which drives out the fans, which makes the overall tone more negative...etc. etc. I never go there these days, and I was once a daily visitor. What's most telling to me is the comment counts. You'll have a post about someone else's new album or a press mention, and they'll get 20 comments. Adam? 200. 400. 600. I still say the opposite of love is indifference, so what does their inability to stay away really say about them? /shrug (To make a long post short, they're bozos.) No matter where you are talking about.. there are many sites where you can go back by ID/name and read a posters response history. Thats generally very enlightening. Some sites have very dedicated trolls you can see it quite easily. Its sort of humorous. |

I am normally a pessimist, but even I CANNOT FIND REASONABLE REASONS for all this doom and gloom. There have always been people who are concern trolling at MJs, and there are of course also people who are genuinely worried. I get that. But usually they are counterbalanced by other voices. But lately it seems like 80% of the conversation at MJs and Pulse has been negative. It's kind of sad, tbh, I enjoyed lurking there and now I am really staying away, they are harshing my mellow so badly. I am grateful for this place and fye to squee and celebrate. Me too. I never did MJs or Pulse but my normal home is the fan club site. I went on there Sunday night to squeal and flail and found nothing but disappointed comments. Adam's new look. Adam's new song. Snowcase of all things. No one even flailing about Trespassing!  And this was coming from die-hards I have spent the last year waiting with for -- well, everything great that's happening now. New music! New promo! New pictures! New videos!  I love those people to death, but I decided to take a break for a few days. I was so relieved when I came over here and found 90% of the comments positive and well-informed. Well done Atop! Can't speak to MJs and Pulse since I don't know them, but on ALFC it's like people spent so much time bitching and waiting, they forgot how to be happy. ??? I have a lot more I could say about this topic ... I'm actually very interested in the psychology behind it and have some ideas ... but who wants to spend time dwelling on it? I'd rather fling myself headlong into the tide of swelling fabulosity that is about to engulf us all.  Who is with me? |
