Did I hear correctly that Madonna will be on AI this week? I find this odd. It seems the industry is constantly saying that Idol winners must constantly try and separate themselves from the Idol stigma but then someone as successful as Madonna, Gaga, etc. choose to perform on the show because of the huge audience. So, you can go there but not be from there? Seems just a little hypocritical. I think some people feel that Adam should separate himself from Idol in order to gain a younger audience / fan base. I don't think that's necessary, but I know nothing about marketing. And, I want Adam singing on my TV, again! |

Just submitted the request form. Help me out again... how many times should I do this a week ? Daily or few times a week ? Adam has always been so upfront with his motives for trying out for American Idol...I have always appreciated his candor. Every contestant on there wants the exposure ....why be coy about it.. I have found it rather funny recently that more and more "old school" established artists are getting on the AI or XF etc's bandwagons...cracks me up Gelly ...thx for clarifying |

Do you think they want to give Adam fans assurance that they will do their part and will promote BTIKM as it should be? I need to check numbers's thread to see if WLPZ, Z100 or 93.3FLZ have added the song. Florida supported Adam in the past, hopefully they will do it this time. I have been filling out the request forms on 933flz and 987 3 times a week do not see the song yet but I was hoping to see it this week. Hi glamtealady, I am in Tampa area too and have been filling out the 93.3flz request form too. They seem to love Adam there but they did not jump on Adam's stuff right away, they wait to see who else adds I think, so not expecting a quick add there. I will admit that I gave my daughter's age on the form, lol, but the thing is I do listen to that station when I have to do some local driving, so it it not like I only pay attention when it is Adam's stuff. |

I am normally a pessimist, but even I CANNOT FIND REASONABLE REASONS for all this doom and gloom. There have always been people who are concern trolling at MJs, and there are of course also people who are genuinely worried. I get that. But usually they are counterbalanced by other voices. But lately it seems like 80% of the conversation at MJs and Pulse has been negative. It's kind of sad, tbh, I enjoyed lurking there and now I am really staying away, they are harshing my mellow so badly. I am grateful for this place and fye to squee and celebrate. Me too. I never did MJs or Pulse but my normal home is the fan club site. I went on there Sunday night to squeal and flail and found nothing but disappointed comments. Adam's new look. Adam's new song. Snowcase of all things. No one even flailing about Trespassing!  And this was coming from die-hards I have spent the last year waiting with for -- well, everything great that's happening now. New music! New promo! New pictures! New videos!  I love those people to death, but I decided to take a break for a few days. I was so relieved when I came over here and found 90% of the comments positive and well-informed. Well done Atop! Can't speak to MJs and Pulse since I don't know them, but on ALFC it's like people spent so much time bitching and waiting, they forgot how to be happy. ??? I have a lot more I could say about this topic ... I'm actually very interested in the psychology behind it and have some ideas ... but who wants to spend time dwelling on it? I'd rather fling myself headlong into the tide of swelling fabulosity that is about to engulf us all. Who is with me? Me definitely! I'm reading from the end backwards, which is something I've not done before, so I don't know what angsting we're talking about ???. I've not 'done' any other board ( in my life), started at PF. I'm thinking I was really lucky to find you all given the amount of other places I could have landed  . I love the way this place is almost always 'half full'; makes it such fun to visit. To me Adam's always been the ultimate Cinderella story (probably more so as I'm in the UK). I can't wait for everyone to discover his talent and beauty as we have. So many people must be deaf and blind. Just waiting for the big reveal ( no smut please ladies) ETA: gotta go back to the beginning - can't handle back-to-front :-/. |
