When I saw that list yesterday I was really disappointed. Gay artists take all the incoming fire while others, who don't need to fight for inclusion, are recognized. And most, even the high profile LGBT artists, have a hard time getting enough radio for massive hits like their straight counterparts. And there are not that many in the limelight for any with a high profile to be left out. But even with this, the straight ones are rewarded because they can get the radio hits and not because their work is superior. Imagine the outrage of a list of the of the most inspirational black artists and songs filled mostly with white straight men and women, lol. Even in Pride month, the LGBT community is asked to step aside and make room for the ones others want to celebrate and uplift as they always do.
