Collabs are not duets. This is not some choral group. This isn't Broadway or Opera. This is Pop music! Collabs in Pop music are typically two artists taking turns singing different parts of the song. Adam will not have to "blend" or "dumb down" his voice for anyone! He will do what he does best and the other artist will do what they do best. That is why the most sucessful collabs are singers that don't have the same vocal stylings and usually they are from a completely different pop category. Why do some always think a collaboration is some type of vocal competition? It is not- it is a COLLABORATION of two people with completely different vocal stylings. I see your point. Still. do. not. want. This is just me. I find Adam's voice so beautiful, so interesting, so effective, so perfect, that trading lines or trading verses, for me, is the sound equivalent of taking a bite of chocolate mint ice cream --- yummmmm-- then taking a bite of brussel sprouts --- ewww. I prefer just to have the bowl of ice cream and let someone else have my brussel sprouts. Now, if Adam were to collaborate with a singer whose voice I found equally compelling and interesting, it would be more like, chocolate mint ice cream, yummm, crunchy waffle cone, yum. Can happily take tastes of each, and even combine them. Problem is, I cannot think of a pop singer out there whose voice would be as satisfying and complimentary. Like I said, just me. YMMV. It doesn't really matter what we want. If it was, some would want Adam singing opera or standards. It matters what Adam wants! Adam wants to be a pop star. He wants to make pop songs and he wants to have collabs on his album! It is his career. It also doesn't matter if we respect another singer on the planet. Adam respects other singers! He wants to do collabs with other artists! Everything isn't a competition!

Rubbish procrastination happens because I live at the end of a really long drive and getting both my recycle and normal rubbish wheelie bins (which are large and heavy) out to the roadside kerb is like a gym workout for me #I'mpathetic - seriously

I think a collab with Pink would be great!!!! That's my wish!! OMG yes that would be awesome!!!!!!!! Her voice has just a bit of an edge of grit, and would be a good contrast with Adam's. I know Adam idolizes Christina, but I think that collab could seriously turn into a screaming contest! I agree, hope it's not Christina. While Pink or JT would be great, after pondering this for awhile I've decided my wish would be either Rihanna (sorry mys*&@^#r!) or Britney. Not only do I like both of them and think they would contrast rather than compete with Adam, I also think the video possibilities with either of them are intriguing.

The only reason I said "not Rhianna" is because it would be like jumping on the bandwagon. Everyone is doing collabs with Rhianna! But if it gets him played on KIIS LA, bring it on!!

Yup, me too!! Me three. And I also agree with tigerlilly... it's not a vocal competition-- it's a collaboration! I agree, there is a strong possibility that a collab wouldn't be trading lines or verses, but bringing a completely different sound, pacing, and melody into the song, which would serve to highlight and emphasize Adam's vocals. Think Skylar Grey on 'I need a Doctor' or Sia on Wild Ones or Titanium, or even Flo Rida sampling Etta James. Even with those voices just on the chorus (and I'd expect Adam would have a much larger role in a song on his album), they transport you, they are the hook, they embed in your mind more deeply in part because the lyrics tightly embedded in the rap part of the song can concentrate and elaborate on the story and let the chorus carry the emotional punch line. For me it's like salt and lavender in my chocolate, or chocolate and red chilis. Have you ever tasted those combos? Very different flavors that bring out the complexity of each other. No one expects chili to be sweet or chocolate to be spicy, they do what they do best, but together, are unexpectedly interesting. I think it would be a lot harder if Adam sang with someone with a similar vocal style, although it could work, if they carried very different parts of the song with varied pacing and melody.
