Not sure if this article was posted, but it has an interesting quote from Sir Bri on possible "shorter stabs" of future tours, which could explain the Japan leg planetradio.co.uk/planet-rock/news/rock-news/queen-brian-may-touring-future/.... "During the interview, Wyatt asked Brian whether their upcoming tours will be their last given their previous comments. "Y’know it always feels a bit that way. It’s like, how long can we do this?,” Brian responded. “I don't know how long my legs will deal with what I have to do out there, and the hands too. You get problems as you get older, which you don't really want to talk about, but it makes doing what you do that bit harder every time. “I don’t want people to be thinking about that when they see me doing my stuff because I will be over it – adrenaline will take over and I’ll be able to handle it. But there will come a day when we can't, it ain't gonna work. For the time being, if we can do it we do it. Revealing that it’s unlikely they will embark on a lengthy international tour again, Brian continued: “To be truthful, this next tour will be two months away from home and it’s impossible to get back from the States. And as I get older that’s harder and harder to do. There’s too much stuff that I want to be in contact with at home. “I'm thinking maybe it (the next US tour) will be the last time I want to be away from home for such a long time, cos I don't know how much time I have left. I would probably prefer to do it in shorter stabs (of time).”

I hadn't seen the article, so thank you for posting. If they want to continue playing they will, IMO. They just take it one at a time. I can understand Brian's not wanting to be away from home for so long of a time, but Roger has said he is not ready to retire. I can see them, maybe doing a month, if they are away from home. I am not sure if it would pay for them to do less, if they were in Japan or US, or someplace distant from UK. Time will tell. We will enjoy it while we have it and look forward to Adam doing more solo stuff and different stuff like the musical and voice overs. I would love to see Fairyland and hope he has more acting gigs. From the few I have seen he is pretty good and will probably only get better. Plus he's gorgeous! What a face to look at on the big screen.

I think doing shorter "tours" would be a good compromise. They still want to perform live. But I think Brian's health is at the core of this. The others performing with them, including Roger, don't seem to have health issues anything close to Brian's. I'd love to see them to shorter tours. And that may mean their staging may be less elaborate. It's very expensive and labor-intensive to move around all that big staging on tours. However they do it, I would love to see them perform for as long as they are able to do it to the standards they want. Some classic bands are still touring in their seventies. Some have quit long ago.
QAL is major bread and butter for Adam, but he is much more established now and has other things he is involved in. He'll be fine when QAL does stop touring. Kudos to Brian for having a positive attitude about it all.

I’ve seen QAL 22 times….never enough But if there’s ever any talk of them stopping, I always feel reassured by the belief that they will bow out in the U.K. So not done yet! Brian will want to go on as long as possible I’m sure. As for Adam - when one door closes, it seems several more open up. No worries for him.

Would love it if Adam has something new out from his rock n roll musical (album) to perform on Australian Idol. Not sure how it all works but I think he said he could release the album before the musical was ready. But for any kind of Grammy consideration (Musical theater soundtrack?) I would think they would both need to be released. I know Andrew Lloyd Webber had "Cinderella" considered for a Grammy but I can't remember if the show was already in theaters when the album was released or if the show came later. Just wishing out loud. HA. But this is going to be an exciting time for Adam's career either way with Idol, QAL and any other opportunities.

I'm dying to hear some of the music on that album...although 70's music is not a favorite by any means. I'm just always anxious for new music lol...I'm greedy !!

I noticed in Oliver's instagram post he says he is catching some last rays after work and before Hilary. So I wonder what he's working at?
