I am thinking that the media must want this Queen thing to happen just as much as the fans since they are jumping on this like crazy and reporting RUMORS as fact. It's crazy!!!! I mean it's not confirmed in the slightest and even MTV is reporting this....then someone tweeted some Canadian radio station tweeted abt a 24 city tour!?!?! LOL WUT. This is like the best game of telephone ever!
Imma start a rumor about Adam fronting Queen ON THE MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

had to quote cause i love this bit soo much!!! heee heee hee heeeee! I think NoAngel already alluded to this in her commentary, and maybe everyone else as well cause I STILL haven't gotten my shit together enough to read the thread, but one of the things I love most about the video is that LightAdam is actually kind of annoying. There's no doubt that our sympathies are equally with the charming DarkAdam. This isn't a moralistic tale about coming out of the dark and into the light. In his own way, LightAdam seems just as trapped as DarkAdam, and kinda bored, and kinda goodygoody, like he needs something in his life. I LOOOVE that Adam gave both sides equal credence, and that the end result has a bit of both, not just a "happily redeemed" Adam. YAAAY!!! ETA: I think newnownext, for example, quoted by gelly above, totally got it wrong. "Healthy" Adam doesn't win in the end--they both win. IF "healthy" adam won there might be something kinda unbearable about the vid, but that outcome is sooo not Adam and I love that he didn't do it! |

I just watched the whole vid. I liked it - it's not deep, but the football player trophy heads are pretty interesting, as is the whole section with her and Nikki Minaj in the wedding gowns, all the refs to her older stuff. I have to think about it more - I'd love hear what Madonna's take on it is. It's a different kind of mv than Adam's for sure, from two - imo - super talented and fascinating artists at very different stages of their careers. (I do wish Madonna would lose the "rock gloves" - I think she wears them because she thinks her hands look older than the rest of her . But I wish she'd just . . . let it be.) |

Love the video!!! It is so gorgeous (so's the guy  . The cinematography is insane. I think the oxygen tanks symbolize how your inner demons, if not kept in check, can suck the air out of the room and slowly kill you. Oh, and I love when "Light Adam" is peeking out between the shades waiting for "Dark Adam" to return. Yes, I agree! The oxygen is the vital symbol of life. The dark side can, and in this video does, bring one to one's knees and suck the very life, (hopes, dreams, joy, peace) out of you. The dark side can kill the light. In this video it comes very close to doing that. |

OMG that video is so fantastic-- I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the deeper interpretations, love just watching how gorgeous all three Adams are. Dark Adam is so bad, but I can't tear my eyes away-- tormented and angry and destructive, he mocks Light Adam but he keeps watching him, putting on a show for him. Everything on that side is cold and sharp and dark. No wonder he's miserable, lol. And Light Adam is nice and sweet but almost ridiculously so. Drinking tea and sweeping with his silly broom and meditating-- it's just too perfect. No wonder Dark Adam mocks him and refuses to come over. But neither of them are satisfied and both of them are trapped in these small rooms with a shared oxygen supply. I love the symbolism of the pomegranate. The story of Persephone is partly about finding balance, but in this video, Dark Adam seems to destroy that possibility. He doesn't seem to care that the fire he creates will destroy him. It's only when he realizes it's killing Light Adam that he has a moment of compassion. And in a final act of destruction, he breaks the glass wall that separates them. I think it's meaningful that it's Dark Adam that brings them together. You can't "master" or overcome the dark side by sheer will-- the dark side must be acknowledged and accepted. And finally Balanced Adam is out walking free! And walking past a No Trespassing zone-- ready to go wherever he wants to go-- bringing his whole self to the journey. I'm totally in love with this vid. My favorite of all of them, and it really makes me love the song more. I'm so happy!!!! Wow! Beautiful!! I think you hit the nail on the head. I can not think of one more thing to say other than I love this video!! The 2 different colored eyes at the end and the yellow "No Trespassing" tape= PERFECT! It's taken me 3 hrs to get caught up and just now watched the video. My mind is blown. It's so way beyond good. I absolutely love it. I have nothing further to add. Wow, just wow!!! I especially love the last shot....he is simply the most beautiful thing I think I have ever seen in my entire life. It kinda reminds me of the last close-up shot in the IIHU vid....that gorgeous face. btw. Keeping with the alternating singles, I hope and expect the next single to be either Trespassing or Cuckoo with a wild and crazy video. |
