Adam Lambert Is NOT Going To Be The New Lead Singer Of Queen; Lambert Tweets That The Quotes Were “Taken Out Of Context”

Just like we suspected, the news that Adam Lambert would be taking over as lead singer for Queen is simply not true. Lambert took to Twitter just a few minutes ago to clear up the erroneous reports, which started with London’s Daily Star tabloid, but didn’t truly catch fire until Rolling Stone reported the news. “Oooh them clever reporters takin my quotes outta context,” Lambert tweeted, “I haven’t confirmed any guest appearances. I was talking about the EMA’S.
” In a separate tweet, he continued, “That being said, I’m truly flattered by your jump to such glorious conclusions mr journalist!! ”Sorry to break the news to you, Glamberts! We’re sure you won’t take it too hard, though, as we can all comfort ourselves by enjoying the brand new video for “Better Than I Know Myself” for the umpteenth time. Additionally, Adam’s denial of these reports just go to demonstrate exactly how much faith he has in his new record and how committed he is to his upcoming tour. He told our VH1 News correspondent Kate S*&@^#r as much in a recent video interview:
“Well, I think the thing to keep in mind too is that like, you know, I’m a songwriter and I have an album out, or coming out, and that is important to me. That is my first priority, is sharing my music and my message with my fans. But Queen is really cool! And I love the music and I love the honor of being asked and I think it sounds like a lot of fun, so I’m going to try and find a way to kind of make both things happen.”

Adam Lambert's sophomore album Trespassing will be released on March 20, and the music video for first single "Better Than I Know Myself" was released today. It's a battle between the good Adam and the bad boy Adam.
Can he pull himself together?
As for those rumors that he's going to become the new lead singer of Queen? Not true, but he will be joining the band for a string of European concerts.

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert played an intimate gig last night (February 3) previewing tracks from his forthcoming album 'Trespassing'.
During his five song set at London's Dover Street Arts Club, he played new single 'Better Than I Know Myself', the title track from his new album (which comes out on March 19) and 'Fever' taken from his debut album 'For Your Entertainment'. The singer also dedicated the track 'Outlaws Of Love' to the LGBT community.
Lambert introduced the song by saying: "I wrote this song about the many challenges the gay community faces and how hopeless it sometimes makes me feel." He played:
'Fever'
'Better Than I Know Myself'
'Outlaws Of Love'
'Trespassing'
'Whataya Want From Me'
The singer recently told the Daily Star that he is set to join Queen as their new frontman.
Lambert, reportedly impressed the band when he teamed up with them to perform classic tracks including 'The Show Must Go On' and 'We Are The Champions' at the MTV European Music Awards last November.
