Thanks for the link, thelambertluvva :D I think I looked at that earlier when Terra tweeted it but what threw me off was just before the counter number it says " 5 days ago". When I clicked on the video link it gets back to the same video I've been monitoring (see screen cap). It was just probably a typo on their part and I'm glad the count there is updated more often than the one I'm monitoring.  Thanks again..... You're welcome, gabby. I think someone here told me about it too but I had used that method in the past and forgot all about it. It's now at 875,208. YAY! |

Just got home from dinner and reading everything
It seems Q102 just played BTIKM so I guess it's from your text requests. What bothers me re: q102 is they haven't started to play him in their regular rotation yet. It's only the 5 PM countdown from our requests during the day and of course, the "Takeover" contest
BUT damn, I'm hearing M every hr on the hr. Talk about overkill in playing.
CATZMADAM. while readying for dinner, for the 1st time, I logged in to hear the live broadcast. I was impressed in his selection of course, I heard the acoustic OOL. Sounded good. so Tks. Next week I'll make an effort to log in again.
YEAH so happy to see on Amazon #38 Keeping fingers crossed that he can push M over and be on top I think she's at 17 right now. Whoa how come she isn't #1 with all the incredible promo and push?

I am a long time Madonna fan -- and I give her credit for being a sharp business person.
But I believe that the attempt to be relevant has made her look foolish.
And IMO Universal Music Group and specifically Interscope is the most willing to spend money on promotion and to be really aggressive.

On the multiple purchasing -- on Amazon people are buying 2 copies of Trespassing often enough that Amazon has discounted the bundle (automatic). People often buy enough to get to $25 for free shipping -- but they usually buy two different things. In this case, my bet is that it is one to keep and one to play. I admit to having shrink-wrapped copies of some Adam CDs.

If he has 2 big singles before Shady, radio will play anythhing! But the 2 big ones have to be BIG. Yeah that's usually how it works but this isn't any old popstar. He *should* be treated like everyone else but unfortunately so far he hasn't and I dunno if the US will, especially in this political climate. I have no doubt that years from now people will look back at him as a trailblazer....but as it is with a lot of trailblazers, the times they exist in aren't always the best or easiest for them, even if they make it easier for future generations. I can see sexual songs working in Europe, but even if he has two massive hits I can't see US radio playing it unless all the conservative, sticks up their butts radio people all get a major personality overhauls. Or unless the song is sexual but doesn't OVERTLY have any sexual lyrics like FYE did. Which, going on the song description and early reviews, it does seem to be chock full of naughty lyrics. But whatever, I am not worried. I am sure he has lots of other potential radio friendly single choices. I am just not convinced radio here is ready to give any gay man the sexual leeway that straight stars have. They are afraid of sexual gay men. They want them either stereotypical hairdressers they can laugh at or non threatening ones who don't give off any hint that they actually have sex. The AMA's were only 3 years ago, and not a lot has truly changed since then. There has been some change, but I don't think enough to let ppl like him have radio carte blanche. YMMV. Sorry I sooo did not mean for this to turn into a manifesto LOL. Yeah, I don't know. If he had a couble of huge, big, smashes, I think radio will be open to play a sexy song by Adam. Only thing is though, even if it doesn't have explicit, in your face lyrics, I think Adam will sing it in a way that makes it sound explicit. |

Saturday Night Online just came on my radio station and what are they playing? Madonna. Unlike BTIKM this DOES NOT get better with more plays. UGH!!!! And unlike BTIKM, seeing the music video does not make that Madonna does "Mickey" any better. Madonna's new video just reminds me of a SNL sketch and this song: Except I guess it is "Oh Nickie you so fine. Thanks for being in my video. Oh MIA you so fine. Yes I'm so cool. Don't you think. Like a Virgin. Lucky Star. See my movie. Buy my tickets." But I do think Madonna's hair looks great. OH noes! This just reminds me from Lyndsey Parkers interview, that she said that Trespassing studio, reminds her a little of this video, and Adam agreed with her. /0\!!!! |
