Can someone explain the term "vaseline on the lenses?" I am embarrassed to say I don't have clue what it means and have never heard it before. :-/ Old school, pre digital high tech method of making someone look soft and fuzzy looking. Spread a little vaseline on the camera lens, and aging film stars lost their wrinkles and harsh angles.

Saw Adam's tweet about the meaning of "shirk." I do not believe, with the vocabulary he has already demonstrated, that our boy doesn't know the meaning. I think the purpose of the tweet was to show that the article in which he was quoted using the had invented or embellished that statement. Is that how others interpret it? Yes, it was discussed in the old thread. It was pretty much Adam saying somehting without saying it. As we all know, he is a master at that! He really should go into politics when he reaches about 50! Agreed. That was my first thought too that he was very subtly making a point about some of the "quotes" used.

Here is an indirect way to help Adam. It has been very difficult for mainstream brands to use Gay spokesmodels because the US Christian Right (usually led by the AFA) starts boycotts of any company who "promotes gay lifestyles". J C Penny selected Ellen to be their new spokesmodel. The AFA (American Family Association) has announced a boycott of Penny unless they back down. J C Penny has not backed down. If the J C Penney support Ellen as a spokesperson results in an sales increase (meaning that people fight against this loud, unrepresentative minority of haters), it will make it easier for Adam to get bigger sponsorships. What Adam did on radio -- prove that it is OK to play a gay artist on US radio and the audience will not flee. Ellen is doing in a mainstream category. Note: There are some successful LGBT spokesmodels in the US -- but they are in the "gay ghetto" of fashion and style. Not the big consumer products or service sector brands. So the punchline -- if you need a plaid shirts ( ) or something else that J C Penny sells -- buy it there and tell Penny that you support Ellen.....more info from Time.com: newsfeed.time.com/2012/02/03/ellen-degeneres-fans-fight-anti-gay-group-over-jcpenney-gig/ >>> END OF MY J C Penny COMMERCIAL <<< >>> BACK TO READING ALL THE GREAT ADAM NEWS <<< I love watching Ellen show, she's funny and energetic. Never into politics myself. Geezzzzz This AFA sounds like a dictator press their belief above the others. Love this pic, bring over from last night's thread (shopped by yani) pic.twitter.com/xDPmlN8Q

I think the purpose of the tweet was to show that the article in which he was quoted using the word had invented or embellished that statement. Is that how others interpret it? I agree. If he knows "cathartic," he certainly knows "shirk." I did notice they used the word in the Spoof article and wondered if it had something to do with that, but decided probably not. I only read maybe 70 pages of the 102 yesterday, again problem scrolling on gif laden pages, but I assume you saw the article. Hilarious. Just in case - t.co/MhkCksAS

Read from the bottom
JordanMeehan Jordan Meehan My theory, typically, is that you can tell that a song is good if it can have the same effect on you acoustically + stripped down. These do.
JordanMeehan Jordan Meehan Idk what else to really say about it, other than its clear that these songs are really fucking good since they sound THIS good acoustic. 39 seconds ago Favorite Retweet Reply
JordanMeehan Jordan Meehan Although probably mostly stuff you've all heard before. Like how Trespassing is about relentlessly being yourself, giving no fucks, etc. 1 minute ago
JordanMeehan Jordan Meehan
And, quite honestly, he fucking slayed. His vocals were out of this world. He gave some insight to the new songs, which was nice. 1 minute ago
JordanMeehan Jordan Meehan SO BASICALLY he performed 5 songs, Fever, WDYFM, BTIKM, Outlaws of Love + Trespassing as an acoustic set 2 minutes ago
JordanMeehan Jordan Meehan Okay so I promised the Glamberts I'd tell them about Adam's showcase from yesterday...
