Not sure why Brooke is returning to California, but IIRC she mentioned a while back about planning a wedding in No. California and I assumed it was hers so that may be at least one reason why she is returning.

Q3, I asked this question earlier in the thread and it fell on deaf ears: "I thought Simon Cowell and Simon Fuller had differences. I was thinking that Adam wouldn't do a guest performance on USA X-Factor out of loyalty to Fuller and 19M. Am I missing something?" I am intrigued by the Fuller/Cowell on-again off-again relationship. Do you know what the status is now? I am only asking because other posters mentioned the possibility of Adam having a guest appearance on X-Factor in the future. Would the "feud" keep Adam from appearances? Or is the media playing up the animosity? Fox is airing both shows--are they all in cahoots together to drum up interest in both shows? Is it realistic to think Adam would guest on X-Factor in the future? In the meantime, I couldn't be happier about the upcoming Idol spot, and I too wondered if Brooke's tweet had something to do with dancers being a part of the performance. If so, it would be beautiful. Most people, including me, only guess about the relationship between Cowell and Fuller, but it is not friendly. That said, Cowell is very important within Sony and can get what he wants most of the time. If Cowell wanted to have Adam on X-Factor and Adam wanted to do the show, I can't see why Fuller would stand in the way. The short history of these two guys is that when Idol was started, Cowell was the one with A&R experience and he put together the Sony deal, he also got a cut of the first 19R revenues through AI9. Fuller also was a former A&R executive but not as successful as Cowell and was really more focused on Artist Management and TV. He brought Freemantle to the table and is created with really creating Idol. Fuller started 19, sold it to CKX for over over $200 million, had a 5 year contract to run it, but that ended in 2010. He now consults for 19 on artist management and is Exec Producer of all of 19's shows including Idol. It appears he has little or nothing to do with decision-making on Adam's career, appearances, strategy, etc. Cowell tried to bring X-Factor to the US in 2005, Fuller sued, they settled on the courthouse steps and Cowell agreed that he would appear on Idol for 5 more years, and would not do a competing show in the US for 5 years. Here is more info: www.guardian.co.uk/media/2005/nov/29/realitytv.broadcastingThey do not appear to have anything to do with each other if they can avoid it. Finally, Simon Cowell have little to no relationship with Adam. Of the four judges from AI8, Cowell is the most removed from Adam and the other Idols. I believe it has far more to do with his competition with Fuller than Adam, because he has no relationship with any of the major AI alums. I would not be surprised to see X-Factor have a few people that Idol washed out as contestants -- but that did not get contracts with Sony. It will generate press and Cowell would strip naked if that would get him more press. Note: X-Factor will be doing what Idol never had the guts to do -- air in the Fall against new shows. The Idol strategy was to air in the Spring when the other networks broadcast reruns. It is low cost programming and was really a filler show that became a surprise hit. They will be doing a lot to stir up interest in X-Factor and the $5 million cash prize + the recording contract is a big leap over what AI winners get.

I'm in the no-dancers-please group :D... Just Adam, Monte and a nice informative talk with Ryan. I agree. I think the dancers would be distracting and probably a bit cheesy. With this kind of song it's best to focus on the words, the message of the song. Just my opinion. The first time I actually even liked this song was hearing it on the acoustic cd and that's only because you could really focus on the lyrics and the voice was on point. All he needs to do is sit there and sing it beautifully and it will be an amazing performance--no razzle dazzle needed when the razzle dazzle is your voice to begin with.

I'm in the no-dancers-please group :D... Just Adam, Monte and a nice informative talk with Ryan. Me too-I want the focus on Adam and how beautiful the song is and his beautiful self and voice. I think that would be captivating and people could focus on the song. I know I will love it whatever he does. I was nervous last time when he did WWFM because I wondered how he was going to perform it differently, but I absolutely loved it. He is amazing at keeping things fresh and interesting. Very happy for MyS*&@^#r! And I loved watching the B&/W and TOMT someone posted this morning. Thanks!
