I just read that that wife is now his ex-wife (she scowled at Adam the entire time he was on stage). The plot thickens. [snort] Every time she looked at Adam it was like she was sucking on a lemon. NGL, even at the time I was taken aback by her expression. "Active dislike" would be an understatement...... ETA: "Undisguised contempt" might be a better description.

Ok. Confession time. I've always loved Randy Travis' voice. I don't listen to much country, but I can always pick out a Randy Travis song, and they're always sweet and often have an interesting storyline. The dude himself, I can't comment on. Don't know much. However, to this day I still break out laughing on his expression of complete befuddlement in listening to Adam's "Ring of Fire". Guy had NO idea what to say. It was like watching a repressed man who had never said "WTF" out loud in his life struggling as hard as he could not to say "WT F". That said, listening to Adam sing Ring of Fire with nothing but piano accompaniment *was* a bit of a WTF moment. It wasn't until the performance with the sitar and full orchestra that all of the sudden the light bulb clicked in and there was a thrilling "THAT. WAS. AWESOME!!!!" ETA: Anyone got a YouTube clip of that mentor session/performance? Bit of an eye opener to peeps who may not have seen it before! I CAN'T ..... I CAN'T...........

Actually, while Simon was calling Adam's Ring of Fire "self indulgent rubbish" and carrying on further about people throwing their TVs out the window, I felt Randy was shaking his head in disagreement. His wife, on the other hand... As much as we hated to see what Adam endured with his "incident," I won't make any assumptions.

In a way, I hope he delays going home and just goes straight to NYC. Sauli can join him there after this thing passes.
