OT question now. Is there any type of prevention against stomach flu? My poor sibblings were on the trip and haven't shown any symptoms yet but I'm afraid it will hit all family after their return, including them two :-/ Wash your hands and stay away from anyone who you think could have been exposed to the bug. Other than that, prepare yourself for about 8 hours of hell. It only last about 24 hours (including the nausea and fever) so you just have to live through it. :(

About the stomach flu. Others have stressed the need to wash hands and stay away as much as possible from the person who is sick. It spreads very easily -- not through breath or sneezing like a cold but through the virus on the hands. If you do get the virus, you will have violent vomiting and diarrhea. It will weaken and dehydrate you very quickly. It is even possible to end up in the hospital if you get a really bad case. My advice is that if you throw up violently two or three times, call the doctor and get him/her to prescribe anti-nausea suppositories. I know it sounds gross but bear with me. It has to be taken in suppository form because you can't keep anything on your stomach. It will stop the vomiting and allow you to sleep and your body to heal more quickly. I didn't think I would be able to "do it" but believe me I would have done more than that to feel better. Fingers crossed no one else gets this awful crud, especially not me!

Maureen Walsh on Marriage Equality Who could listen to her and not be moved. Rick Santorum?
I sent this to several of my friends who are "on the fence" about this issue.
Progress is being made (as Adam has said many times). It does seem slow and I wonder how there could be ANY holdouts for, not just marriage equality, but equality period. It's sobering to realize that just 8 short years ago Texas & some other states made gays subject to arrest for "deviant sexual conduct". The law was declared unconstitutional by Justice Anthony Kennedy, who said "the state cannot demean gay couples by making their intimate, private conduct into a crime." Kennedy will be the deciding vote if Prop 8 goes to the SC.

They have been at events together and she has tweeted him a few times. I think she might be a Sony artist also? She's also katy Perry's good friend and katy is Adam's friend.. so social stuff maybe? Uhhh I just want to point out that Adam said "I had Ri's # ONCE, but I think she changed it" So it appears he no longer has it. ETA Thanks murly Walshs statement was beautiful..perhaps once the BANS start to topple things will pick up speed as far as changes made.

toadhopnetwork.com/f/2-GuysAshley D, the bass player was interviewed by these two guys. It is a snapshot of her life as a musician and an opportunity to hear her speak. The guys talk way to much and don't let her answer many their own questions about Adam...but I appreciated getting a sense of her personality. Also how she got the gig with Adam. Click on the LISTEN. Her part starts around 31.00 stampsgal Thank you so much for this interview! I finally found the time to listen to it and I loved it! So Adam wanted a female bass player! :D

WOW that was POWERFULHer passion makes me have to go now...have to repair my make-up before my company arrives!!! me too, tearing up a bit. You go Pacific Northwest! Seattle and Portland may be left-wing, but on the other side of the mountains it can be very conservative. Ranches, farmland, orchards, and vineyards -- and it's some of these legislators who also helped push this through.
