Wow.. this is smart move... the concert ticket included the price of the cd.. it will bump up her CD sales when she's touring Wonder how much's the ticket price?? ??? ??? The tickets are $189 to $1,512 each. VIP package are $2K+. On the bundle of ticket + CD -- this is not an innovation -- Prince did it , 50cent did it, many other artists have done it. It will not necessarily count as a Billboard CD sale. And the way it appears to be set up it may be considered a free bonus with a ticket purchase and thus not a normal retail sale. But Nielsen decides what they count and they change the rules now and then like for Lady Gaga's $.99 albums. ETA: Just check with a Soundscan expert who tells me that IF you cannot buy a ticket without the CD for less, it will not count as a retail sale -- same as the convention rule. NGL I want it to be Bowie, too. Because Adam would be thrilled, and because it would be awesome. Not sure how many records would sell, but I think it would be worth $$$ in publicity value. I think you asked earlier about Bowie's health. He had heart surgery in 2004, but based on the Rolling Stone article, it sounds like he is healthy now. Bowie may be finished with recording and touring, but he may be open to one-off performances -- you never know. After all, he did perform with Arcade Fire at an event in 2005 and he appeared on Scarlett Johansson's 2008 album (which seems like an odd choice, but I guess he's a fan). So, if Bowie was willing to sing with Scarlett Johansson, why not Adam Lambert? He sang with Scarlett Johansson? WUT? Lmao. More importantly, why does she EVEN HAVE AN ALBUM?!?>! Stick to acting and having a banging body bb, no one wants your music. Yeah Bowie probably wouldn't bring the major radio spins, BUT I wouldn't expect that if he were to be on a song (And that is a big WERE here because I am trying not to put the horse ten million fucking miles before the cart lolol) I wouldn't expect it to be a single anyways. Def an album cut. BUT the media around it would def be worth it--look at how much press he got for that Queen thing? It would be good for press and hype--you would def get people, esp those ppl who snub Idol to go WHOA BOWIE??! MAYBE THIS KID'S ALBUM IS GONNA BE DOPE? I SHOULD CHECK IT OUT! (or on the flip side they could bitch about how Bowie obvsly lowered his standards or whatever, lmao, but that's how it goes)--and be a total win for many reasons. The ONLY reason I am even ENTERTAINING the MERE MICROSCOPIC POSSIBILITY that this could happen is because of the Nile connection. And that weird tweet about emailing him is a little...huh?...but then again it could be for a ton of reasons--like just meeting up while he is in NYC--and jumping to ZOMF EPIC BOWIE COLLAB isn't really good for us since we are often very very wrong. LOLOLOLOL But it is a blast to think it could happen!! I ain't holding my breath tho even if it would be awesome. I am gonna place mah bet and say it's one the 3--JJ, Katy, RiRi-- a rent a rapper, or someone who skews more alternative/artsy/lesser known but fits with his vibe. RE: Bowie I have thought for a while now that assuming Bowie is in good/receptive health and Adam's star continues to shine that a meeting in some capacity is inevitable. Be it writing, performance or simply a meet - To me this is the next destiny in the Adam journey. Hope someday he does get to meet Bowie. And I would be just as excited:-) And with the Nile and Queen connection it seems more possible... |

I am excited about all this promo but gotta say I am bummed about having Adam so close and not meeting him. I've never met him at a meet'n'greet or heard him sing live other than in a concert. *sad face* I am entering all these competitions but I've never won anything ever. If I do win though, I promise i'll take one of you with me. They give away a pair of tix and I don't think that my husband would be interested in skipping work for Adam, even though he does like him. |
