Wow.... not only am I impressed by the actual drawing ability, but I'm even more impressed by the detailed content of what he has drawn.. Like the fallen wall and the kissing figures that have merged into the wall.. And love the way he used shadowing and different angles to make things look very 3 dimentional. Especially like the way he used the writing "No mans..." to give the appearance of a cliff edge.. psychedelic, you are f*cking amazing. I am ashamed that I didn't see that stuff myself. Aww, you are embarrasing me... Maybe I'm just making up stuff lol

[ insomnia post] I AM BLOWN AWAY BY THIS DRAWING!!! Pen and inks always amaze me because there is little if no visible correction, so totally free form. The wall, the kissing motif, barbed wire, Kit Kat Club reference to "Cabaret," angles, perspective are all great, especially for something that seems totally in the moment. The thing that floors me is that Adam has never mentioned drawing before to my memory. I never creeped his MySpace page, but have seen it mentioned repeatedly over the years and although he posted poetry, he never posted art that I've ever heard of. He really is ridiculously talented.

Well - I´m impressed. That´s from the radio station in Berlin that had the interview yesterday. They let Adam draw - Berlin I'm logging in from work, which is something I never do, to say WUUUT??? Adam drew this??? By himself?!? Did everyone here except me knew he could draw? I mean, look at the fucking highlight in the woman's eye! And the whole composition. I'm not saying he's the next Picasso, but the man can draw. I'm impressed (in case you didn't notice ).

I was looking at his expressive hands and the geese caught my eye ...and I could not tear my eyes from his neck and half bare shoulder

Looking at the posters and stills for "Cabaret," blow me away even more. Interesting the "bricks" in the bowler hat (looked like an igloo at first, lol); I'm guessing they are also symbolic of the Berlin Wall. I also thought the off-center placement of her lips and angularity of her nose looks a little Picasso to me. But look how evocative of Liza Minnelli in "Cabaret" this is: He would have been doing it totally from memory, presumably. (Unless for some reason they happened to have a "Cabaret" poster in the room.) ETA: I can't read what the writing on the flag says on my computer (may have to take it to lab for analysis). But impressed with the white on black reverse touch! ETA 2: And while I'm in my dead-of-night analysis/amazement, the two "kissing" figures are totally ambiguous. They could also be facing off nose-to-nose. It's hard to tell if there is anger, animosity or affection there and the upper-left corner of the figure on the left, which could be eyes/hair also looks like, yes ... an animal skull! The one on the right looks Seussian to me.

Adam surely is an Artist. He can draw, he can write poems, he can sing... Is he a human being ???

Wow. Drawing's never been on my radar for Adam. I guess he just 'doodles' a bit here and there? Not a bad doodle, eh?
