I like all the interviews posted today, but my favorite is the Swedish one! He's just so fresh and honest and funny. And they had the music in the background. All radio station interviews forewith should chose this Adam -in-the-background theme while they are airing the interview. Very smart, very lovely. And even better, they could air the sets.
Have any of these stations really aired the acoustic sets in any way on their website and if so, do any of y'all have links? Or am I just fooling myself that the powers that be will let my ears hear a clearer cut of Trespassing? I am grateful that we have that first show, but they have really tightened security around taping the shows. Just another sign of his management noticing the he is indeed a superstar.

How can the song start selling until radio spins increase>? He has barely done promo here, geez at least let him work radio and stuff here and see if Z adds before we call this song dead. IMO that is srsly jumping the gun especially knowing that he doesn't shoot up the charts. And that's all I am gonna say about that, ya'll have at it. Gotta say ita with this. I'm not ready to declare BTIKM dead in the water until Adam has done his rounds of the big East Coast stations (and whatever else he has up his sleeve for next week) and the video comes out on VH1. Lots of people know WAY more than I do (I know nothing at all, lol), but Adam has said that BTIKM was chosen as a "bridge" song between FYE and Trespassing. I'm guessing that they made the decision based on the fact that Adam's big hit was WWFM, and BTIKM is in that same genre. So it's a way of reintroducing Adam without freaking people out with a song that's too OTT. Whether it's working or not, or doing what they expected, I have no idea. And I will NEVER underestimate the factors working against Adam, which absolutely does include the fact that he's gay, and a white male trying to do pop, and an Idol grad. Like Adam says, he's trespassing all over the music scene, and there is a hell of a lot of black-and-yellow caution tape in his way. And with all that said, I do think this era will be huge for him, and really break him out, and bring him far bigger success than FYE. So no angst from me.  Yes! I have been in many J-pop concerts and there seem to be almost always a concert tower. Must be because the summer in Japan is so hot and humid, that people want to wipe the sweat. Dammit, why don't we get these in the US? I NEED A CONCERT TOWEL!! Wish we had had one for the GN Tour? Can you imagine? ;D #glitternevercomingoffmybutt Yes!! I'm with you! I want that. And if not a towel, why not a decent bumpers sticker? I would put that on my car. The "Adam is my BBF" sticker from the GNT tour was way too cheesy. I really am glad to see he's coming back to the states to do some radio promo. Is it too much to hope for that he would come to Texas? Just one stop..... |

I also wanted to say really quickly that I wonder why ANYONE thinks that Adam wiill have an easier time with a different single? So far it seems like a lot of people whine and say that a different single like Cuckoo or Trespassing would be totally different and smash right away, etc etc, BUT....1) We haven;t even heard these songs yet so how do we even know if we would actually even like them 2.) Adam has never had an easy time on radio, and until he has at least one big mega smash I can't see him having an easier time. I think we need to adjust our expectations and realize that even if he did drop an amazing utempo tomorrow, it may still be a slow grower. He may ALWAYS be one. Who knows. Will you marry me? Seems as if we both live in the real world (even if yours lends itself to the surreal and bizarre at times)and gauge our expectations to meet logical possibilities. Anything above our hopes is a happy surprise. |
