Yes! Completely agree with all your points! ITA :D Me three agree with NoAngel! BTIKM is like a cousin to WWFM, a good way of re-introducing Adam to the mainsteam listerners. And with this new single during the promo, he can showcase his beautiful voice in acoustic setting and not miss represent the whole song. Its more beautiful. To me upbeat song sing in an acoustic way like Trespassing may not come across like its suppose to be in the album. Like Fever song that he sang in acoustic, I liked it, but was not like in the album version, which I'd prefer to have people listen to the album veriosn first. The next single, dance, fast,,up-temple is better to release more toward the spring/summer which is a great way to get casual fans into the album and keep the album sales stay in the chart, and he sees him preform in a full sound with all his band members. |

I'm thrilled with how things are shaping up. As many suggest, I don't think this single was supposed to be released until January....by that measurement, I think it's doing fine.
Curious about the "listening" parties. Not sure they were as much to pick the first single, as they were to drum up buzz and give the media a taste of the album. Most UK peeps seemed to favour the uptempo tracks.........BTIKM was still picked as the lead single.
So excited for the start of serious US promo next week. If "I" was a DJ or a PD, I'd certainly be more inclined to spin a song from an artist who has visited the station.

That 19 minute MSN UK video is INCREDIBLE!! "Sushi Wolf"...haha! Cracked them both up!
Oh! I want a Trespassing lunch box too!!!

JazzRocks, they actually had radio people at Kris's concert? Like PDs? No I don't think it was PDs. I can't find the link now!!! But my impression was it was the radio promo people from RCA. |

Ok that MSN UK interview was just the BEST EVAH! He is just too f'ing cute for words!! I love how he loves to TALK. Never a short answer & just totally honest. How can people not fall in love with him?! And I love that he admits to being obsessed with his iPhone because I don't feel like such a freak anymore. ;D  |

You know what gets me? I can't even count the number of times I've heard an interviewer say something like, "I can't believe the response I got from your fans! I've never seen anything like the enthusiasm of the Glamberts!" And yet it doesn't translate to radio play. I suspect it's because they believe that all Adam fans are middle-aged women who don't normally listen to their stations. Well, this middle-aged woman would listen to any station that played more Adam--and more performers like him who can actually sing--and I honestly believe that Adam's fan base would be even more diverse if these stations would play his music more often. We know he has young fans. This album is Adam putting his heart and soul out there for the whole world to see. He loves it and has done his best. He has not lost his fanbase, all indications are thtatit has grown. He will be fine. We will be fine. This album is going to be 100% Adam opening up his hearts for his fans! If the rest of the world doesn't see it or want it, their loss! But, I really have the feeling Trespassing is going to blow up the Pop world!  << Very verklempt, very happy tears! And, Just popping in to agree with you. I don't care about sales and spins as much as I do about the critical acclaim Adam is getting, and how f*cking proud he must be feeling about this album. It's his creation, his baby, his entire heart and soul...and critics are telling him it's brilliant. If it sells to the masses, great! But if not, there's no failure here. Yes. I agree with both of you. As long as Adam is happy and is able to do what ever he wants... then I'm happy too. |
