Adam's ace card is his great personality. His vocal prowess is a given. He's also just an all-around good person who people love to work with. LNX, not so much.
Adam says that he has a social media manager. Hope that person earns his//her keep and gets to work.

I finally broke down and got the TikTok App, though I am not a fan. Too much!! However, I liked Adam's video and commented on it as he seems to be struggling in terms of "playing the game" and connecting on social media. I told him that for me a cool song IS enough, though I do think that vulnerability here and there and "letting fans in" a bit is helpful, similar to the honesty and realness in his latest IG video. I also suggested no more "shit in his face" to cover up his lip freckles. As he was asking, I told him that I would love to see more of his comedic talent in short clips.
I don't think Adam should wreck his brain over curating a more diverse fandom. If what he posts feels genuine, fans will likely take to it.

We all have our preferences but when I see the music that REALLY breaks through...it is all about MELODY...not just little hooks, but singable, get in your head, melody. To my ears, Adam and team have rarely pushed the singles with really great melody...right from the beginning. And a driving beat that is easy/compelling to dance to, even if just on your car seat  . Now that his name recognition is so high...I would think it might be a good time to put out a Best Of album and possibly re-invent a few of those amazing songs that never got any push at all. Change them up a bit....it helps that this would 'give them back to him...a la Taylor Swift... Superpower is one of the few released that also had melody and beat but that was just poor unavoidable timing. Stranger you are ...make the beat pound a bit more Fever...we all loved that one...awesome tune and hard to sit to Soaked....never got the love...it could do with a tweaking but it has amazing 'bones' Shady....what can I say...that base intro... Sleepwalker..a fav with many...not me so much [not enough melody] but Mashup Trespassing/Another one bites the dust. Running...missed chance..... Ghost Town...necessary. Whataya Want from me...another have to..but change it up and make it new ...or pick a couple more of his or drop a new track or two... I would think a great tip Tok thing would be to take those really catchy instrumental bits of say Superpower and Fever and Shady and Running...and post them on repeat to get non-fans intrigued....the post the whole thing |

mszue Great spread of songs you suggested for ārevisitingā. I almost forgot how much I loved Superpower. Still do. Had to remind myself that it was my favorite song on Velvet (with Loverboy and Ready to Run close seconds). It took Adam a while to release that song as he wanted to wait til the summer - 3 other singles came out beforehand. In hindsight, wouldnāt SP have been a fabulous Pride song?

I have thought for awhile now, that he didn't really do his own instagram (which is the only SM I have) Most of it is supporting others. Rarely is there anything personal. I don't have tik tok so I can't speak to that. Releasing cool music is enough for me, too. I hope whoever he has as a SM manager starts earning his keep.

I think that when Adam is supporting others on Instagram, then itās actually himself posting. Itās his own advertisements for shows or appearances that are posted by someone else. I noticed that last year during some of his concerts in Europe. The person doing his social media had a bad timing. They posted several times, while Adam had been on stage. It even happened, while Adam was performing about 5 meters in front of me. Since then I have been sure that thereās someone else posting as well as Adam. Also Adamās Facebook account is IMO 100% run by that person, similar to his Twitter. While Instagram is about 50/50. And TikTok has probably 100% Adam so far. All thatās simply based on my personal impressions. |
