This makes me so sad. As a person who is married to an actor and has worked in the entertainment industry on a much smaller level than Adam, I’ve seen the challenges of the industry on performers as they grow older. IMO Adam has achieved so much and yet he obviously hasn’t reached the level or goals he expected. Maybe because he’s over 40 now, maybe he realizes his time with Queen is coming to an end, he’s questioning what’s next. He will never be a pop star and maybe he’s finally coming to terms with that. However there is so much more he has to contribute. It’s a transition to something else that can be difficult to find in the beginning. I love Adam, his talent, his extraordinary kindness and empathy. Having fame and being in the public spotlight is very difficult. I’m thrilled he has found Oliver and their relationship is strong. Discovering what and who he wants to present to the world now is probably scary. |
