Such great and clear videos of the Sunrise shows. Thank you so much for bringing them over. Adam is looking great. Now, fingers crossed I can find a way to see the actual shows. I think it is interesting that Leanne has been a coach on both UK and AU but not US. Adam has also never been a coach in the US although has coached a couple of shows in UK/AU. I wonder how the coaches are chosen.

I wonder how the coaches are chosen.Adam was a coach/judge on Clash of the Cover Bands in the US. Also XFAustralia and Starstruck and Britain Get Singing? UK. That is a lot considering most artists don't get a chance to coach/judge at all. He was thought of for Idol a few times but I think once Katy Perry got the spot (they had the same management at the time and could get more money for her) it was off the table for him. But I believe he has mentored on Idol at least 4 times and guest judged so they adore him. Jhud coached on The Voice UK and US. Kelly coached on The Voice and a show called Duets many years ago. That is it for former Idols but maybe The Voice US thought two former Idols were enough. HA. But my guess is coaches are chosen based on management, availability, star power and need, etc. Katy Perry is leaving Idol so my guess is she will be replaced by a woman, otherwise they will have three men. If Luke leaves as some say he may, they will likely replace him with another country artist. Lionel with another AA artist. I would love to see Adam judge on Idol (or another UK Show) but it seems unlikely in the near future. Happy he got another chance in Australia. |

Adam has definitely done his share of judging/mentoring/coaching over the years, even on Idol. It is ironic that he has never gotten a permanent judging spot on Idol, but the likely reasons are those that lurleene pointed out. Quite honestly, I never watch Idol and don't intend to. If Adam was a judge, of course I would watch, but I just don't have the interest or energy to get involved in supporting a contestant. So, if he never gets that job on Idol, that's ok with me. Same with The Voice in the US. Mentoring and coaching is fine, but those are short-term things. I love how much the Brits and Aussies love him.
BTW, he is looking particularly gorgeous.
