The last time I voted at VH1 Top 20 was late yesterday afternoon. Today when I try to vote they tell me I have already voted today and to try again tomorrow! >:( I'm technically challenged and don't know how to 'clear cookies'. I use Firefox with the Windows 7 operating System. I really think it's a 24hr. thing. What time did you vote? The same thing happened to me, so I expect to be able to vote again late this afternoon. At least that's what happened yesterday for me!  |

I use Firefox with the Windows 7 operating System. Because they use a 24 hour window, not a 'day' window. So if you voted late in the day yesterday, your 24 hours is probably not up yet! |

On the Whitney tribute debate. I personally woudld like to see a video montage of Whitney. Because in my book, no one can sing Whitney like Whitney does. JHud is a belter and lacks the softness Whitney had. Dolly IMO just would not be right. But videos of Whitney actually singing would bring the house down!

I use Firefox with the Windows 7 operating System. That happened to me first time too and it was the next day and probably 15 hours later at least. I was on Safari initially, so I Emptied Cache (go to Safari, Empty Cache), but still popped over to Firefox to do my voting there. I didn't do all 20 and when I checked Safari, I could vote again. Resetting cache is harder to find in Firefox. You need to go to Firefox --> Preferences --> Advanced --> Network and it will give you your Cache capacity; there is a button on the right that says Empty |

I wouldn't do it, but it can be professionally done. I have a niece that does it because her eyelashes are really white, almost invisble. Dyed, they are gorgeous! Does she get it done at a hair salon or somewhere else? I have white almost transparent eyelashes and would love to have them dyed. The woman who cuts my hair said she wouldn't feel comfortable trying it - neither would I. Yeah, I'd like to know too! I'm a redhead and a total freckle face. *glances coyly at frecklesexual* Haha!  My lases are very fair, but dying them scares me. edited to add....The more I think about it, the more I agree with mys*&@^#rr and think the best tribute would be Whitney singing Whitney.... but we already know JHud is singing. So case closed.  |

She wrote the song and doesn't sound like someone trying to imitate Whitney. JMHO A tribute is for the deceased person, not the person who wrote the song. IWALY was Whitney's song. It is about who Whitney and her family would want. Who would Whitney select? Why does it matter who wrote the song? When has that ever been important in a tribute? It really isn't about who WE would want! I'm not a huge Jennifer Hudson fan, but I understand that this tribute isn't about ME. yep....cuz it wouldn't be a singer trying to outsing Whitney. Dolly's version is different but equally incredible. still kinda bummed about JHUD....I think it's tacky. I like Dolly, but I just saw the latest movie she was in. Her voice is not what it used to be. Other than writing this song, what soes Dolly have to do with Whitney? Whitney and JHud knew each other and they are both black women who are diva type singers. From what I understand Jennifer and Whitnet were fans of one another. From an earlier article: "Houston actually presented Hudson with her first Grammy. Hudson said meeting her idol "almost overshadowed getting the Grammy." What does an older, white, country singer have to do with Whitney Houston? ??? I wonder what gay guy they are going to have sing Adam's songs when they do a tribute to him for being awesome and a worldwide star. Guess a straight guy would be inappropriate, and heaven forbid it be Bruno Mars, he's not a redhead nor gay . Not a vote for Dolly, just making a point. |
