Re the makeup.. I think Adam uses fake lashes a lot. individual lashes or even lash extensions sometimes. Plus mascara, of course. He knows what he's doing-- his makeup always conveys exactly what he wants to convey.. he's very clever and a true artist, and uses his face as a canvas.

What about it is scary for you? And apparently it's different in the US, but in my European neck-of-the-woods mostly every hair stylist does and there's - for me - nothing scary about it. It's no big deal. It's just dying of hair 8-) ...just dying hair, yes...but hair...........directly adjacent to your EYEBALL!! HAHA! okay, I'll look into it.
It's not like they use a bucket full of hair-dye on your eye-lashes Report back to us once you've conquered the fears of the unknown, pls.

J-Hud loved and revered Whitney. She idolized her and was inspired by her. She has the voice and the power and the emotional range and vulnerability to do it justice... in spades. Whitney saw her sing her her most famous song and she loved it. I think she is a perfect choice. I agree and the bottom line, if Clive and/or Whitney's family came to you and asked you to do a tribute hours after your hero has died, you do not analyze the overall reaching social mores, you humbly and immediately say, "Yes, I would be honored; thank you so much for your faith in me to do her legacy justice." There is absolutely nothing else she could or should have said. People who loved Whitney made the request. Of course Jennifer is going to humbly accept. She had to. And like Adam paying homage to Freddie, I'm sure she will do it with class and reverence to her mentor. ETA: Regarding eyelash dye – I know it has been done safely for years and was thinking it's probably some plant-based formula, then it dawned on me as I was googling that I don't know WTH is in the mascara, eyeliner, eye shadow, etc. that I use every day either. I just trust that it's been tested and certified safe for use around the eyes. And so far, it's been okay.

It is a different product altogether and specifically designed for the eyes. Sometimes it stings a tiny bit...if you have sensitive eyes...but most people do not even feel anything....perfectly safe and been around for many many years. :-)

You can substitute Adam and Freddie's names in your paragraph. ;D I love JHudson, but I have absolutely no idea how she's going to stand on a stage and "sing Whitney" and actually hold it together. I'm sure JH is a complete emotional wreck about Whitney's death right now.

I think it comes down to finding someone to sing Whitney's songs who would do them justice. Whitney's voice was amazing and very, very few people could sing them properly. Jennifer Hudson can. I'm not really sure why having her do so is tacky. Living tributes to deceased singers is done all the time. ??? I find it somewhat tacky because JHud is Clive's heir apparent to Whitney. It is too soon. Next year or 6 months from now, fine. But one day after Whitney is gone? It is tacky to me! :-/ Hmmm. I guess I'll see how it's handled. It was up to the producers of the Grammys to decide whether to have someone sing live vs. just use video montage of Whitney's own performances. IMO a live tribute can be very touching and beautiful and moving. Considering Jennifer's reverence for Whitney, I'd be surprised if she can even get through it without breaking down. These sorts of things are always a bit touchy. Trying to find a way to honor someone who has recently died with sensitivity and respect-- very difficult to please everyone, for sure.
