Lambosessed lambosessed Close Must tweet & run but want to put it out there that I reckon Adam & Queen are performing at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert. WUT WOT WAT? Are they just speccing here? Yes, she's speculating - would be fantastic though as would be broadcast all over the world. Here's some info about the concert and they haven't finalised all the performers: Staged in the stunning surroundings of the Queen Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace, the BBC and Gary Barlow have brought together leading talent from the world of music. The concert will include classic hits and one-off collaborations from artists including Shirley Bassey, Alfie Boe, Jools Holland, Jessie J, JLS, Elton John, Tom Jones, Lang Lang, Annie Lennox, Madness, Paul McCartney, Cliff Richard and Ed Sheeran. Other names will be announced in due course. www.royal.gov.uk/LatestNewsandDiary/Pressreleases/2012/DiamondJubileeConcertLaunch.aspx

Well, if I were singing for the Queen with Queen, I'd have a sh*t-eating grin on my face too. But it is still all speculation.

Lambosessed lambosessed Close Must tweet & run but want to put it out there that I reckon Adam & Queen are performing at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert. WUT WOT WAT? Are they just speccing here? yeah she is, cause Brian May performed 10 years ago at the Golden Jubilee from ontop of the Buckingham Palace. Queen is legendary, and so they have to perform at the Diamond Jubilee.... That is why I don't think that Adam and Queen will be at the Olympics. I think that this is the big secret. Ooooh ok I kinda want. What do we think is the best for exposure, prestige, etc? The Jubilee thing? (I dunno abt that for the US I don't even recall that being shown here and never heard anything about this celebration before tbh) The Olympics? A festival like Sonisphere? Which one would be most amazing?? I mean I don't care, I will take whatever. Just curious. I wonder if they would broadcast the Jubilee in the states? hmmm

To encourage everyone to spread the word about the push to donate to Adam's Charity Water campaign on or around Valentine's Day I am offering a little incentive. I do not have much financial flexibility, so the offer is small in dollars, but big in heart. For each person on Atop that posts before the end of today's thread that he/she has tweeted about donating on Valentine's Day, or posted the information on another board, I will donate $1 to Charity Water, up to $30. Thanks. #AdamCharit yWaterValentine peace&love Done

I don't think there is as much inerest in the Queen's Jubilee as you might think, in other countries. And I think the Jubilee event would have more of a requirement of being English, than the Olympics would. :-/ But, if this is what Adam is performing in, I will definitely be watching.

Yeah I was gonna say--this would certainly be an honor and good UK exposure and a gig to get happy about, but as far as people caring about it/seeing it in the US? I don't think so. I mean I don't think that gets broadcast here (maybe on the BBC America station?) let alone heavily covered in the media here. It would be another EMA situation where it could go mostly ignored by the states. As for he rest of Europe and the world, IDK whether this is a big deal or not. I just watched the youtubes of Brian May and co at the last jubilee and...don't shoot me...but it looked kinda cheesy LOL. I will be happ for WHATEVER awesome surprise they have in store, but ngl I would rather them have the Olympics where they would have the whole world see their performance or some kind of prestigious festival where they can perform a whole show/multiple songs. YMMV.
