I agree with Midwifespal I love the songs that Adam wrote on his first album. In my humble opinion catering to radio taste isn't going to get Adam more air time. I think coming up with his own music and making his own sound might do it. If radio still is resistant,Adam is still being true to the artist in him. Radio is important but it's not the only way Adam's music can be heard. There is Youtube, word of mouth and certainly he will get played in other countries. I hope RCA isn't hampering his creativity, that would be a crime. Adam is Adam and he just doesn't fit in a box . Maybe I'm nuts but I think there will come a day of reckoning when Adam's own music will become iconic. It took Queen a long time to get recognition, and they certainly weren't alone. America for all it's screaming about Queen now weren't that thrilled when they began their careers. I think Adam is constantly being compared to people in POP who can't hold a candle to him. I would hate for him to dumb it down . I also think Adam is trying to break through that glass ceiling (Trespassing) alone. For every e mail that goes to radio station saying please play Adam Lambert,I wonder how many are going to the same stations saying don't play adam Lambert. We'll never know i.e. Ellen and JCPenney?Coming in second on IDOL. The country singer who recently came out ,said her record sales went down to half after admission.Look who is running for president. Don't want to seem cynical, but Adam has a tough calling. wow! That's a big list of things to worry about. :-/ I think I will just trust Adam to do his thing and not worry about a long laundry list of possible negatives. I decided yesterday, after a good bit of useless angsting about the possible delayed album release, that I will just enjoy all the incredible interviews and gorgeous pics and let Adam and RCA take care of the rest. 8-) A Bruno collab sounds great and since Adam wants this, I pray it comes to pass. I see no negative in this collab at all. Go Adam Baby.

valilacfrom that twitlonger you posted INROCK interview. So Shady is about the night he met Sauli. Shady , said Adam is about cruising for sex in a bar. And Jenny Woo ain't shady , said Adam. : And that's why I love you Adam. ;D So much going on today..too many videos, pics to see.. but this post from Gelly made me laugh out loud! Adam was not kidding when he said that this album is real and personal and let us fans trespassing into his world. Yep, gotta love his openess. So he was looking for sex but found love. It happens! Sorta happened to me as well 8-) 9 years and going strong. I'm very happy for him - for both of them!

Adam fits in a box because he wants to be in one. If he didn't want Pop hits, then we wouldn't be worrying about radio play. Adam wants to be played on Pop radio, therefore he and his record label are working to make that happen. Having several radio-friendly singles is something that Adam has said he wants. They are working on a couple that are "very radio ready" at this very time. You don't have Dr. Luke produce your songs, if you aren't trying to cater to Pop radio listeners. The songs Adam co-wrote on FYE may be fan favorites, but that doesn't mean they were good choices for radio singles. Catering to radio taste does get you more air time. Radio is important if it is important to Adam, and from all indications this something he wants. As you may remember from the last time this question came up, I tend to agree with you on this--Adam likes top 40 pop, Adam wants to be played on top 40 radio, and Adam writes pop music. But just to be fair, most of the songs Adam wrote for FYE were never intended to be radio singles, and I have no reason to suspect that if Adam wants to write a great radio single, he has that ability in spades, especially with the ace pop co-writers and producers he's been working with. We haven't heard the new music in question (with the exception of a very-much-changed trespassing), so all I can do is trust the critics who have. THey seem to feel VERY STRONGLY that certainly CUCKOO and probably TRESPASSING as well (both Adam co-writes) would make terrific singles. Personally, I don't mind radio-friendly songs. I like a lot of the songs I hear on CHR. What I don't want is a song, no matter how "radio-friendly" it is, that could belong to any other artist, in part because it was written/produced (without Adam) by a team (Dr. Luke et al) that has written/produced songs for most of the other artists in the top 40. For me (and this is only my opinion, and worth very little) BTIKM is such a song (indeed, part of the thrill of watching these acoustic versions is to see Adam taking a non-Adam song and adamizing it). I don't want another one. I don't just want to hear his voice--I want a hit song with Adam's stamp all over it, even if--especially if--it is an "in the box" pop-radio-friendly song. I'm confident he has it in him, and I suspect (given the gushing reviews) that such a song already exists on Trespassing. But then, I'm a greedy biatch like that! ;D Also, I want Adam to get credit for an underappreciated skill of his: his song-writing. And I don't just mean that the lyrics are personal to him--even more than that, I'm thrilled by Adam's musical instincts (see acoustic versions mentioned above) and what I assume are his production instincts. From what he has said over the years about specific details from the FYE album, his suggestions almost always made a song sound more interesting, and they always sounded identifiably Adam. He already gets admired for his voice. But needless to say, Adam isn't on AI anymore, making other peoples songs sound like his own--he's his own pop artist. I'm not worried about radio boxing Adam in or making him too "top-of-the-popsy"--I believe Adam would make a great mainstream pop star; I just ready for the next step--I'm ready for an ADAM SONG to burn up my radio!

It's...in the middle. Not really danceable, but not a song where you just stand still either. I think it's very, um, well you just sway or something. Sounded like background music to me :/ Sorry, but I disagree! This song is almost of remix quality! It is soooo danceable! :-/ Remix sounds right to me--I could imagine this song lengthened and stretched almost endlessly. To me, it's a perfect concert song, that comes in at the perfect moment towards the end, when everyone is already high on the Adam-fumes (and whatever other fumes are available--not judging ) with the lights low and the lazers on full blast and everyone doing this: hoping the night will never end. But that makes it, for me, a deep track, not a radio single, almost mood music, of a certain powerful dancey, trancey sort. And I like it but I want an Adam single, by Adam (see my previous post).

I am so bummed that i don't have fuse on my cable As for radio, I think it's a shame that someone as wildly talented as Adam seems to struggle to get radio to play him. The DJs heap praise on him and yet they still don't spin the single.

does someone have a link to the video-interview where Adam talked about this sekrit collab? Because in my memory something about the way it was asked and answered made it sound like a diff collab, not the Bruno Mars one? ??? ETA: nvm found it myself... www.sugarscape.com/tags/adam-lambert/693672/video-adam-lambert-new-song-naked-loveAnd yup, seems pretty clear from this interview that the super-sekrit fingers crossed vocal collab is not the Bruno Mars one. I still think when he said Mars was def on the record he was referring to the song, not to vocals. FWIW.
