Yeah, confuses me too. Such a strange, out-of-the-blue, event. Maybe just an opportunity that Adam felt he couldn't refuse. Maybe something will come to light in the next few months. You never know, maybe QAL will plan on going back. The Asian countries love Adam. Queen was never in China with Freddie, only Adam. It may also make him fresh in their minds, in person, for anything else that might come up whether live or virtual or animated. Ona totally different note, I just re-watched for the millionth time Adam singing at the Angel Food benefit. How I wish those songs were streamed somewhere. They are magnificent. I still get goosebumps with "Try". Amazing. One of the social medias said he was paid 7 million US dollars tiktok- even if that is mistaken and it was 7m in Yen that would translate to $1million US. Easy 3 day paychecks like that (maybe after taxes and expenses he keeps half?) allow him to do whatever the heck else he wants without worrying about song sales and chart locations. Even in 2019 he was in the top 15 male international artists there. chartmasters QQ followers

The China appearance was for a different audience. Even tho "Afters" is very important to Adam, I doubt he plans to spend the rest of his career only playing at Pride Events and the Australian Mardi Gras. They are important events and needed so glad he could participate. But only performing songs that mostly work in his community would limit him to a very small niche audience. And those songs would not work in China nor on most tv shows so it was unlikely he would try them there. And China has been known for banning some acts. He used his common sense. And didn't China cut out parts of BoRap that showed anything related to homosexuality, before it could be released there? Even tho Adam said he does not plan to tour with this EP, he will probably incorporate a few songs in future tours. But maybe not perform them to all audiences or in every country. He hinted that he would go back to China. I hope he does solo or with Queen. Asia loves him with or without Queen. And tbh, I love to see him on the world stage. So glad the China trip was something he wanted to do and could do. And he played solo there before in small arenas (6-7K). If he played a concert there again, my bet is he would make a lot of money. HA.
I know Adam already filmed for The Voice. But was the finale also already filmed or will he go back?

Jablea, "One of the social medias said he was paid 7 million US dollars tiktok- even if that is mistaken and it was 7m in Yen that would translate to $1million US. To me, he is still "playing the industry game" (in specific markets at least) to allow himself to "play" freely in other areas.

That was one of the most exciting events of Adam's career. The pride we all felt for him was off the charts, lol. And he delivered big. Then came Ukraine followed by iheart. At that point, hardly anyone (not counting the he's not Freddie whiners, as if they complained loud enough Freddie would come back) could deny that Brian and Roger made the correct choice.
