No matter how much he was paid, Adam's China trip was a real coup for him. He got so much media attention. I hope he goes back, and it would be great if QAL goes back, too. They love Adam and QAL !
I think one of Adam's greatest assets is that along with all his overt sexuality (which he knows when and where to show), he still has that kind of sweet, boy-next-door sort of politeness and niceness. I can't really explain it. He can put on an edgy, sex-charged kind of show, but he does it with a kind of wink. We have been lucky to get to know all sides of him since 2009. Some artists who emerged when he did are pretty much done, but he managed to maintain a presence. People know who he is even if they don't follow him. And he takes risks to move forward.

You hope there is time for the memory bank to kick in ….yet wonderful that Adam was even a mention by Gottmik, on Kelly’s show! The most recent interaction was obviously on his mind, and was related to his mom. His connections with Adam are more personal than just being asked to work with Adam during his singles release. Gottmik has been to Adam’s home… more than once I think. There was even a pic or two of Gottmik, Bill Kaulitz with Adam going through Adam’s closet. (Next thing we realize through pics of Bill….he inherited/was gifted Adam’s silver and black tiger striped sparkly pants. Lol!) |

To me, he is still "playing the industry game" (in specific markets at least) to allow himself to "play" freely in other areas. I don't see it so much as playing the industry game because his one offs are so disparate. He's an international star who can book private, and very well paying, gigs anywhere in the world. And when he comes to an event he not only brings his songs, he can throw in world known Queen songs as well with perfect authenticity. He's easy to book because he is a solo act and can work to a backing track or a home town band and/or dancers. Plus he comes with his physical package which is another draw. Maybe its an industry but it's different than the mass public music industry. But when it comes to things like China's Singer or AU's Voice - yeah those could be geared to greater actual music sales. |

I think almost anybody in entertainment, Adam included, needs to make adjustments within the "industry" in order to sustain themselves and ideally achieve longevity.
