Words cannot begin to describe how much I hope that "Cabaret" rumor is true. I think he'd be amazing - he has the charm and charisma, as well as the ability to convey menace. I don't know if I'd be able to see him in the role (I'm currently a live-in caregiver for my mom), but maybe I'd be able to figure something out, who knows. I watched the Sweaty Oracle video and heard him say Adam was offered the live televised John Legend-led JCS. I remember all the discussion at the time, and it certainly looked like he was going to be doing it...until he didn't. I'd love to know what happened there.

I think if I were constantly told that I shouldn't exist, or that it's a sin that I exist, or that I should die because I exist, I might get extra loud too...make lots of noise and let people know I have a right to be here and that I'm not going anywhere. Give the haters the finger, so to speak.
To me, that's what Pride month is all about. And boy, does it trigger the haters.

I take everything I see on instagram (don't belong to X) with a grain of salt. People don't post their everyday mundane lives. You see the parties, and what they consider to be fun. We really don't know what any of these people are like in "real life" only what they choose to post on social media. As far as Adam's present music, some would like to believe he is naive. Just beautiful Adam. We know he is not. I feel (IMO) this is music for his "people" and he is using their jargon. He doesn't really care if others like or don't like it, or are offended by it. This art is for him and his group.

Oh, God. Please make the Cabaret rumor be true. Please. Please. Please. Please. Doors do open. Well, you know maybe it's Adam Levine they're talking about Just kidding, don't kill me lol. Where did this rumor come from exactly? I'm always leery of these rumors. That is VERY funny.......I don't believe it.

Agree, Quackn...not ready to jump on the Adam/Broadway train just yet either. Don't know who the hell Sweaty Oracle is lol. It's too easy to put stuff on SM without any proof that it's true.

This is Pride month and there will and always have been many OTT celebrations. But there are gay men and women all over the US and different countries, who are fighting for their rights and demanding to be treated equally. They are not all presenting themselves in the same way. Some are partying, dressing up and having fun and others try to make a difference thru politics, entertainment and being role models. Some lead forums and encourage LGBT youth to be proud. The different representations are all needed. And some like Adam, are visible in so many diverse ways. He represents thru music, pride events, documentaries, forums and just being visible, positive and accomplished in so many interviews and tv projects in multiple countries. It is a diverse community and they and their allies are trying to push forward in various ways. These are difficult times for the LGBT community. Difficult times for LGBT youth in school, with the book bans and attempts by hateful politicians to make them invisible. And the events probably dictate how you approach your audience, depending on who you are trying to reach. Adam is having fun at these EP events. But he is a serious person and artist so I am proud of what he has accomplished to advance the cause thru his foundation or participation in other ways. His representation is acknowledged and appreciated by many.

Wow. Seems a little harsh to me. Adam is a gay man. He is also a multi talented performer. He used an offensive word as a title to a song. A song. He did not call anyone that word. Some of his closest friends are women. To imply that because he used that word as the title of a song to…what? Debase women? Because he’s lost all sense of decency? That seems a stretch to me. I love Adam, his talent and who is as a person. He’s an activist and a humanitarian and a kind human being. If I don’t like a particular song, album or performance I move on. I don’t judge him for it. And I don’t judge him for how he behaves with his friends. ]In his last live, Adam directly addressed a woman who happened to ask if he had ever had Botox a “B###h” and a “f#####g c##t”. His disproportionate response clearly shows that he know c##t is largely and historically a demeaning, derogatory word and is deploying it in exactly that manner. This is rich coming from someone who purports to respect and value women, and who, in a recent post I saw (he is wearing a black leather cap), talked about the need to be careful in how we use our words. Before someone states that everything should be taken in context, that is important, but especially when a writer or speaker reaches a wider audience, he/she/they should always consider (1) Situation (2) Audience (3) Purpose and (4) Ethos. Is Adam usually good at what we who taught in the communications department where I worked as a professor for many years called the cornerstones of effective communications? I think most of us would say that he is usually excellent, which means he is aware of those considerations, even if he might not use the exact same words I just did. For example, in his release of WWFM as a gift to his Chinese fans, he reverted to “it messed me up” even though prior to this, he was adamant that he wasn’t going to censor himself anymore and used this song as his first example of taking back his authentic self. Should he have reverted to the original wording for that particular audience? Of course he should and did so as to not offend the sensibilities of that particular audience. Informal communications can be more lax, of course. Sophie B. I have never addressed my feelings regarding how Oliver presents himself, but I couldn’t have done so as well as I believe you did. Adam, however, clearly does not feel that way, and I am glad he is very happy with his “current love”, words he used not too long ago I might not care for his current era, but this is part of what he needs and wishes for right now, and I won’t stop supporting him at this point because he is ever changing. I’ll continue to hope for that rock album one day and to hope that there will be more QAL.

Sent Sweaty Oracle's post to one friend and my daughter emphasizing it's a rumor and their responses are"
"Adam would be perfect. Perfect role for the perfect actor/singer."
"Oh my god! I would see that in a heartbeat. He'd be amazing as the Emcee!"
Maybe Adam decided that he could get more cred & support for his own production if he performed on Broadway first.
