Adam looks so good and so sexy on Cohen's show. I am thrilled that he is happy in his personal life and doing the music he and his friends love. He is really enjoying himself. I wish I could get excited about his new music or at least feel a little something from the lyrics. And I have listened to every released song at least once but none of it hits me. And yes, I know Adam does not care who likes it, lol. But I hope this party/club music was mainly for Pride and he is satisfied with the results and gets the widespread support he wants from his community. However, I will be disappointed if he does not have the desire or drive to pursue a different direction that showcases his voice in the future. But I would understand if his heart was just not in it anymore. And when Andy asked him about QAL, he quickly said nothing in the works. Bummer.
As for Beyonce doing gay dance music, no surprise it worked for her on a massive scale. She has so many hits under her belt, she is a woman (and not a gay man) and she has a whole damn industry behind her. And gay men worship her. Besides, her team was going to spare no expenses to make sure she was on the radio and that "Renaissance" would be a commercial success. So I doubt she brought in her buddies to write and make party/club music but likely collaborated with successful industry types. And of course she won a few Grammy's in the EDM/dance genre for her efforts, as she has won in Urban, Pop, R&B and was even nominated in rock once. Now she is on to country. Who knows, she may try her hand with a rock album next cause she can. I have never really been impressed with her singing but she doesn't limit herself or allow any label or anyone to put her in a box. She and Billie seem to have that in common. So it is pretty hard not to admire those ladies for having the confidence to pick any genre they choose and dare anyone to tell them they don't belong. Pretty badass. HA.

Adam was great on Andy Cohen's show. Looked spectacular, too. I assume that the thing he will be busy with in the fall will be the Cabaret gig. Hope so. It will be interesting to see what happens after that. My "common sense" brain keeps telling me that he will write new music again and will remain edgy but not in the Afters way. I truly believe that he'll have music that will be marketable for a broader audience. If that's just wishful thinking on my part, so be it. He says he has a new team. Hope they put his talents to productive use. In the meantime, he is out in the media in various ways, which is always a good thing.
Beyonce can do no wrong.

But Adam has gone out of his way to say he was never into music that was not dance/pop and EDM like what he and his friends listen to and enjoy. And that Idol pushed him into the rock lane and others pushed him to do music that wasn't really his thing. Maybe that was just to promote this EP but how do you come back later to do something deeper and more appealing outside that community after stressing those points? I mean, Janet, Jlo and Madonna are still doing dance-pop/club music well into his 50s and 60s. But those ladies have limited vocal talent so they have little choice but to dance away, regardless to how old and unappealing they look competing with the 20 somethings, who do more dancing than singing. I don't follow Ricky Martin so I'm unaware of what he is doing. But the last time I saw him a few years ago, he was dancing across the stage with Camila Caballo on an award show. He showed no growth and imo, just looked silly doing the same sh** he was doing over twenty years ago. Unlike George Michael who could dance, rock and break your heart with a ballad. George had enough talent to be taken seriously as an artist so he didn't present himself as a one trick pony. So I'm going to hold on to hope that Adam will not box himself into mostly only trying to appeal to younger gay men and men who like to dress in drag.
