What a lovely letter from Brian! His life is so full of things he loves to do. That's the way it should be. And the financial deal they made sounds like the best thing for all of them.

Anyone here who was a bit worried that Adam and Brian and Roger were somehow "on the outs" can rest assured that everyone seems to be busy with their own lives. I love how Brian gets to perform with other artists, too. Such mutual respect. And Adam has had a full Pride month which gave him lots of media visibility.

If there are still more QAL shows to come, we'll know when the time comes. Hope it happens.

Hope everyrone had a great Fourth of July holiday!

Adam has a new fan but not for reasons one would think. I attended a huge family event on the 4th. A gay relative came in dressed in a short skirt, crop top, full makeup and exaggerated mannerisms (that he pulls out for such gatherings, lol). He is a teenager seeking attention in his own way. However, his dad said his only child plans to stop dressing that way when he heads out to college soon. He wants to be taken seriously as an adult (his words). The young man is very intelligent, an honors student, participated in student government and plays several instruments. He loves politics and wants to be a lawyer more than anything. One of his biggest role models and inspirations is Mayor Pete. He likes Adam (Sam not so much), tho not a big fan of his music because he is more into alt music. I showed him the video of Adam speaking at the Stonewall ceremony. He was very impressed to see Adam in that setting and with his speech and it was an additional wow cause the President was there also. I also told him about his foundation, his UK documentary and that Adam had once interviewed his idol, Mayor Pete. Role models and inspirations may be needed in different forms for young people who have no connections to NY or LA or other big cities. And many young men could use good examples of leadership, support, success and advocacy from members of their community. Adam understands that and offers much to many young people thru diverse ways and projects. His cred increased tremendously with my young relative. HA.

On a different note, many African Americans are really upset about the BET awards. They are asking why has vocal talent been replaced by classless young women shaking their butts at the audience and spouting vulgar and crude lyrics. And it seems that talent has been replaced by OTT gimmicks and spectacle and it is getting worse on most of the award shows. But the record labels invest a lot of money to push the mediocre talent to radio. So everyone starts to look and act the same or tying to be more crass than the next. A few if lucky will have longevity but many will be forgotten in a few years because too much of the same becomes boring.
