I was disappointed in myself for posting so emotionally here yesterday so I left for awhile to try to "get it together". Now I see I was not alone. ;D At this point I think that anyone who denies there is cause for concern has their head buried deep in the sand. Not that it can't all work out - it can and probably will.
Of course RCA is not purposely sabotaging Trespassing. That would be stupid. But initially, when it could have done the most good they did zilch. They dropped the ball and now they're scrambling. Too little too late imo.
I have to wonder why they would put all the $$$ and effort into the BTIKM video if it was just an "introduction into Adam Era2" and not meant to be at least a moderate hit. That makes little sense. Yet that's what happened.
Another concern I have is that fans will give up on BTIKM and stop requesting & voting. If single #2 is not forthcoming and BTIKM sinks even further without requests, what then? WHAT THEN?

I've been in the doldrums the past two days trying to figure out his roll out and like some of you, just so disappointed when I see shitty songs be added and played the crap out of.
JazzROcks...dont' even think those thoughts of fans givng up...no no no. we have to be positive and still request. I sat last night, although quiet, voted like crazy even on that Sophia choice 101,9 etc . TODAY, we all have to keep up our requests UNTIL we see the next single drop.
Mys*&@^#, I love how you insert a reminder during the day with the sites to vote on.
TOday, I am making the rounds and noticed MixPhiladelphia still hasn't added his song to the reuqest a song list. It just infuriates me with this lack of radio play.
BUT like a good solider, I will keep requesting until further notice and keep my fingers crossed that next single will be HUGH.

I was wondreing why sink all that money into a video also, until last night, when I remembered that RCA and Adam make money everytime the video is watched. So watch that video on VEVO, guys!!

If the song can hang in there or hopefully pick up and enter the 30's position on the HAC, I'll be happy for a minute. Not liking the loss of AI though.
BUT there has been an increase of pre-orders for the CD on Amazon. COuld it be because of the interest of the Queen gig? I don't know. It's not from the BTIKM, something is peaking buyers interest and pre-ordering.
OK So while it might be a top single, maybe he will follow the foot steps of Beiber and not have a #1 single but sell a shit load of albums. I'll take a platinum selling album.! 8-)

Just to clarify - I am NOT cutting back on voting/requesting! Quite the opposite - except for that Sophie thing. Sorry, but I think that's just for hits & a waste of time. He won many times there and they don't play BTIKM at all. So  to that. Better sites to spend my time. Gained a few spins on HAC so all is not lost. |

RE: VEVO. I was playing VEVO and once you played a song, it would go into a contiunous loop of Adam's song. Recently, it stopped, so I have to keep going back on you tube (VEVO) BTIKM and hit the song. (psst... I think a million of the counts are mine ;D) How do I get this to play continously again? |

I wonder if anyone else feels this way about BTIKM: I love the song but I do NOT like the beginning. That soft synth start is weak & doesn't grab you at all. Also - It would be better with a strong beat similar to every single song on radio.  Is the BTIKM beat dubstep? #dumb |

I just wonder if BTIKM was what the label believed to be the most "radio friendly" song they had ready to go in December. I think it might be as simple as that. They quickly saw that it wasn't creating much excitement on radio and scrammbled to get a couple more Dr. Luke tracks.
I'm a little nervous about era 2 now, it's a shakey start. But, RCA will get something going. And I am trusting that his new management will have some great things lined up this spring.
eta---I am actually finding that Sophie's challenge thing to be hilarious. Poor Cook fans have nothing better to do right now than vote for this thing. The radio station is probably laughing.
