Really, Sonisphere sounds like INCREDIBLE exposure for Adam in Europe and the UK. Queen is Iconic and this news should give Adam a nice media bump this week, or at least for a few days.

Even if the Olympics were locked and loaded, I don't know if they'd upstage this announcement with that announcement. Yes, Brian and Roger have played to huge audiences, but how long has it been since they've performed as Queen? Since Paul Rodgers? They've been looking for years for a singer who can handle it and now they've found him. Can we please celebrate one thing at a time and be happy about it? Olympics are NOT likely to be announced this early anyway. And think about it, IF they were involved in the official ceremonies, they'd likely only sing a song or two, where this will be an entire set!!! I want both, of course, but am totally content to flail my brains out with this announcement for now. My favorite singer ever is collaborating with my favorite band ever, so I am ...    We'll get vids and can rip CDs ... OMG!!! The songs I've been dreaming about hearing him sing since Idol!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!Happy birthday NEEDACOKE!!!

I feel bad for even suggesting this, but why would queen consider playing sonisphere to be "incredible" news? Goods news, great news even, but not earth shattering. And I know that queen loves Adam, but he's already sung with them so announcing that he will sing with them again isn't earth- shattering either. I think queen will announce they are playing at the Olympics. Or it could be something else that has nothing to do with Adam at all. R U SRS RN? First off no one said this news was earth shattering so maybe ppl need to adjust their expectations lest they get masisvely let down. Secondly they are not gonna announce the Olympics. It's too early and come on...Shosh and Sonisphere AND QUEEN all have an announcement today and you think it could be the OLYMPICS??!!? Jigga wut? lmao. Ok den... As for it not being a big deal...it kind of is. It's a huge gig that will give lots of people who never would have been exposed to him before to see what he can do, the press cycle will be glorious, plus it's a HUGE honor to play with Queen at the same place of their last concert with Freddie in their 40th anniv year. Plus it will be a huge payday for him and possibly open the doors for even more concerts...it's a win win. Sorry if this seems~snippy but I JUST got over being pissed about seeing ppl onn twitter with the whole THIS ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH mentality on twitter and then I come here and see the same thing. FFS can we all just be happy for once??? Srsly it's a good thing. ^^^^^^This^^^^^^^^^ Singing with Queen at this festival IS HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I think I am going to explode. It is getting harder and harder to keep my expectations in check.
I know .... I will state something that will allow you guys to blow off a little steam. Although not a fan of frankengump hair in general, I thought it was perfect for the EMAs.
He looked fierce with that hairline and I can't imagine the performance without it.
Do I want Adam to go gumpy at Sonisphere ... why not. ;D

IMO, Sonisphere is huge news. And it would be enough. But I've got my fingers crossed for additional dates for a small tour? What do you think the chances are?
