I feel bad for even suggesting this, but why would queen consider playing sonisphere to be "incredible" news? Goods news, great news even, but not earth shattering. And I know that queen loves Adam, but he's already sung with them so announcing that he will sing with them again isn't earth- shattering either. I think queen will announce they are playing at the Olympics. Or it could be something else that has nothing to do with Adam at all. R U SRS RN? First off no one said this news was earth shattering so maybe ppl need to adjust their expectations lest they get masisvely let down. Secondly they are not gonna announce the Olympics. It's too early and come on...Shosh and Sonisphere AND QUEEN all have an announcement today and you think it could be the OLYMPICS??!!? Jigga wut? lmao. Ok den... As for it not being a big deal...it kind of is. It's a huge gig that will give lots of people who never would have been exposed to him before to see what he can do, the press cycle will be glorious, plus it's a HUGE honor to play with Queen at the same place of their last concert with Freddie in their 40th anniv year. Plus it will be a huge payday for him and possibly open the doors for even more concerts...it's a win win. Sorry if this seems~snippy but I JUST got over being pissed about seeing ppl onn twitter with the whole THIS ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH mentality on twitter and then I come here and see the same thing. I think what Avari was questioning was the use of the word "incredible" in a Queen generated tweet (or whatever it was). I get her point that for Queen, the group that is iconic and has had many huge concerts with hundreds of thousands in the audience, this gig would not be so noteworthy as to use the word "incredible." So, the upcoming announcement from them must be something else. Because of the synchronicity of the announcement from Queen, sonicsphere and shoshanna, I am going to still tenaciously hold onto the belief that this will be an announcement about Adam appearing with Queen. I am going to believe, until proven differently, that Queen are so blown away with Adam's voice and showmanship that THEY think a full-out concert with him would be "incredible." It could happen. |

IF THIS ANOUNCEMENT IS MADE AT 8..00 ,I WILL HAVE TIXS (IF THERE,S ANY LEFT,HA HA , AT 8.10 This weekend I even dusted off the tent in prep for this coming to pass. None of them are AI watchers; all are in their 30's from all over the country...They know I am a big Adam Lambert fan and love to good-naturally tease me about it. I hadn't been there for very long when they asked me if I had heard that Adam was "joining Queen." Their tone had completely changed from teasing to impressed. After the rumor, one of the couples had looked up the EMAs and said they thought Adam was great. Then they all talked about how good his voice was, and that there wasnt anybody better than Adam to sing Queen songs. One said he would go to see him with me. These are just regular public, not Adam fans, not Queen fans, and their perception of Adam had changed because of the news cycle. And they had checked out Adam's performance. I was really pretty surprised. |

So what are the odds that someone in the USA could get tickets for this gig? Haven't been to Sonisphere before and have no idea even how to purchase tickets when it has so many days/bands, etc. What ticket site should I be sitting on at 3 pm EST? Any suggestions to the ninjas on this board? TY!

It is huge if Queen has a new track with Adam and debut in the sonisphere gig but it's good exposure for adam no matter what's all about.  |

Pretty sure the tickets will not go on sale today . Reading all the sonisphere forums they seem to think Friday.
ETA: I've also seen rumpours of Thursday at 9am!
