I know .... I will state something that will allow you guys to blow off a little steam. Although not a fan of frankengump hair in general, I thought it was perfect for the EMAs. He looked fierce with that hairline and I can't imagine the performance without it. Do I want Adam to go gumpy at Sonisphere ... why not. ;D  |

R U SRS RN? First off no one said this news was earth shattering so maybe ppl need to adjust their expectations lest they get masisvely let down. Secondly they are not gonna announce the Olympics. It's too early and come on...Shosh and Sonisphere AND QUEEN all have an announcement today and you think it could be the OLYMPICS??!!? Jigga wut? lmao. Ok den... As for it not being a big deal...it kind of is. It's a huge gig that will give lots of people who never would have been exposed to him before to see what he can do, the press cycle will be glorious, plus it's a HUGE honor to play with Queen at the same place of their last concert with Freddie in their 40th anniv year. Plus it will be a huge payday for him and possibly open the doors for even more concerts...it's a win win. Sorry if this seems~snippy but I JUST got over being pissed about seeing ppl onn twitter with the whole THIS ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH mentality on twitter and then I come here and see the same thing. FFS can we all just be happy for once??? Srsly it's a good thing. S'OK. I'm going to be very happy to be wrong.  But it's how I feel. This will be massive for ADAM, but I thought the official queen sites were calling this announcement "incredible" QUEEN news? Perhaps I've gotten that lost in translation somewhere? Carry on with the squeeing!! I'll just hide under a rock until we know for sure; and then I'll join in. ^^^^^^This^^^^^^^^^ Singing with Queen at this festival IS HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

When you sign in you can choose to be invisible, which means that even when you are here it says that you are not online. You can post and lurk normally.

I see that you are online right now. I am curious too. I chose to remain logged in so that when I open the Atop page I am ready to go, no logging in necessary BUT if I close the internet connection am I shown as online or offline? So it is 10:00 AM CST, I will close my connection for 5 minutes, someone tell me if I am online or offline? OK? Bye. You are offline. OK, I'm back and as I thought, to be offline doesn't mean that you have logged out, only that you have closed your internet connection. I probably do that multiple times in an evenings viewing, so it would seem like I have gone when in actuality I am probably just checking email. Constantly closing my connection may be a hold over from dial-up because I know my sons usually just minimize when they are doing something offline. Thanks for helping me wal, I just like to know these things. |

Avari, I definitely see where you're coming from. Obviously, this gig for Adam is HUUUUGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEE!!!! Whether it meets the criteria for HUGE for Queen, I guess we'll see when it's announced. If the news is indeed that they are playing Sonisphere with Adam, I will be so thrilled and totally verklempt that they consider it "incredible". And I do think that will be the news. And I will flail my ass off!  <--------- preflailing BTW, does anyone know the last time Queen had an actual concert gig? And who sang with them?

I get excited and start typing in the middle of the passage I am quoting. You just need to move it out. Sometimes it helps to click on the Expand at the bottom of the message box so you can see where the end actually is. |
