Not getting into a political discussion, so I will not comment further but i felt I needed to say I believe, as well, that Adam is a pacifist and doesn't believe in war. Being a Jewish person it must have been very diffiuclt for him to sign this knowing the awful events that occurred. The letter is not just about not sending arms to Israel, to me, anyway, it is talking more about peace, cease fire and freeing hostages. Hamas must be crushed, but doing this cannot make the entire population of Gaza simply "collateral damage" they are also people. They need to find a way. My sympathies to any who are involved and have lost loved ones. I also only pray for a lasting peace. Stay safe. Thank you so much, and I agree completely with everything you say.

I wish people were not so patronizing, condescending and passive-aggressive when talking about people like Adam who argue against arming Israel, or any other criticism of the politics of Israel.
I’m not sure Adam is the most informed person on the subject, but I do know that people who agree with him on this matter tend to be out of information bubbles and can see the whole decades situation with a fairer perspective than those inside who SEEM will never, ever be able to do so.
People should read more, investigate more than the usual sources for them. For example, Biden? Here I am in the Dominican Republic and I know the he’s been pro-Israel and pro-arms manufacturers for decades. He will NEVER, ever back down on his support for Israel, and neither will any other politician in power, Democrat or Republican. Just follow the money. That is without considering the oil and strategic geographic situation of Israel that matters more to them over Human Rights considerations.
I hope that people would feel more for the thousands of Palestinians lives lost and been displaced as we speak; is it 40,000? Let’s say it’s only 20,000? Maybe 10,000? How many is enough? I think for those signing the letter it is too many.

And please, please don't spread misinformation any further: the Hamas monstrous terrorists at least have agreed to the terms of the cease-fire proposals even if it means relinquishing some of their objectives: it is Netanyahu who then turns around and adds new requirements that push negotiations even further. He is intent on annihilating Palestine.

I have no idea what Adam signed. I do know that if Israel wasn't armed, considering it is the size of a pin point compared to the rest of the Middle East, it would be blasted off the face of the Earth in no time at all, which would make a lot of people happy. Antisemitism is at an all time high, and most people don't give a crap that Israel was invaded on October 7, women were raped, tortured, and murdered, children and babies kidnapped from their beds and cribs, and over 100 are still missing, if they are still alive. I would also be really happy if all politics could stay off this group completely. I come here to get away from the political hell we have to endure every day in the U.S. The stress is unbelievable, and nothing will be solved here.

I also wish Adam had not signed such a sensitive letter. But the letter seemed more about wanting peace and the return of the hostages than stopping US weapons from being used in this war. And it is possible to feel that Hamas is terrible and what they did was awful but also feeling the PM has made things worse. Imo, it is not being a mouthpiece for Hamas or antisemitism for acknowledging the destruction and deaths of those in Gaza (whatever the actual number, anyone can see the horror and devastation of so many killed). It has gone on too long and should end. Many are protesting in Israel, and people around the world, want the hostages home and the war to end as well. I doubt many think that Adam or these celebrities are not saddened by the hostages and those killed by Hamas. But the PM and others keep making excuses for not ending this so that the hostages can come home and the destruction and deaths end. And by saying those who want this to end are Hamas supporters (a ploy by the PM) will not shut down the dialogue and the cries for peace and the return of the hostages. No doubt tho that DT and the PM want this war to continue with the hope that it will blow up our election in the US and help put DT back in office. But whatever happens, the fault does not fall on Adam.

I don’t understand why some people immediately jump to cries of anti-Semitism and not caring about what happened in October; I just don’t get it. Is it to shut down arguments they don’t want to hear? I don’t understand this attitude.
Does anybody think that Adam doesn’t care about rape, and murder, and little babies? That’s what you’re assuming about everybody asking for the cease of arms supply to be used against Palestinians.
And people should read more about the defense structure small Israel has, including allies and nuclear capabilities. What most people want is for Israel to stop using these weapons against innocent Palestinians. That’s all.

Adam has Jewish relatives. I wonder if he has spoken to any of them about this, esp. his mother. I agree that he is likely most interested in a ceasefire to stop the killing and save lives. The politics and history in that area are too complex to solve in a short time. I think Adam is reacting with his heart to the human tragedy and suffering, as we would expect him to.
