He didn't really say it with conviction... I believe he felt like it was a sure bet that I wouldn't pursue this Adam adventure (especially since needacoke had said no). The turning point was the venue offering seats (verrrry expensive seats for our tired, old legs) and private restrooms. His biggest concern is me traveling alone, especially overseas, and I love and appreciate that. ETA I don't know about Suz, but a couple of TALC videographers will be there. I wonder if they are having guests and doing some of the singing to help Adam out it would be alot on his voice if the do 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I expect Adam will go to Russia with them as Roger said they want some practice. geez, i would hate to think adam could not handle a 1.5 to 2 hour gig. I get pretty pissed off if a concert is less than that. i gave adam a pass on gnt because he did not have much material and well because he is afl. but i would hope future shows would be at least 90 minutes. |

BBC R1 TALKING ABOUT ADAM AND QUEEN This is good. Though they're typical DJs, the one is very much the voice of reason in that they say, "Look, Queen knows what is at stake here and I don't think they'd choose this guy if they didn't think he could do the job." (Indirect quote from memory.) Um, thank you!! That's what so many people, when they debate this, seem to forget: Brian and Roger have a TON at stake here. Brian and Roger know the talent out there. Brian and Roger knew and loved Freddie. They are also the only ones with any perspective from all sides so it amazes me how many of their "fans" don't defer to their judgement, especially since neither seems like they've ever been impulsive or reckless in the past regarding what's best for the band and their music. Ame!! We'll miss you!!  Hurry and complete that thesis - we'll be here.
Happy birthday Alison and vaivia!!!   Sooo excited to see all the Atoppers who will be at Sonisphere!!!! |

Maybe it's just a question of who listens and "obeys" and as they say it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission And I have found that a non-refundable ticket in hand can be great incentive when husbands need nudged into understanding certain Adam related activities. |

I have a question for you Twitter guys. Does this mean anything? I use my twitter to vote and to do requesting. Otherwise I don't really use it, I hang out on ALF and here. I have been requesting on my local Top 40 station KISS and my local HAC station MIX. I follow them but neither of them follow me back. I wouldn't expect them to. I vary my requests up between Twitter, Facebook, and the forms on the radio station websites. This weekend I was followed by another station, my local adult contemporary station. It is a much higher rated, more well-known station than the MIX station here. I followed them back. I went and requested the song on their station and noticed a big banner ad for BTIKM. My question is does any of this have any significance or is it just part of the randomness of Twitter? (ETA: No Austin station has "added" the song to date.) It's hard to know where advertisements come from, but I know that there is a lot of "personalization" of ads that we see because of our own internet activity. For instance, last fall I purchased a new violin case and did A LOT of research/shopping on the web. Then it seemed like many sites I went to for months had ads for violin cases?!?!?! Most of the sites I visit are ones for which people have put links on Atop. I'm pretty sure Adam-related articles don't naturally have violin case ads for other readers. : : : I inquired about this the other day. I believe a lot of the banners/ads we are seeing in unusual places are the result of the personalization you speak of. I looked at some furniture the other day and those same pieces are popping up everywhere now! and i remember months ago when someone found a tshirt adam was wearing on all saints, i had that ad up for weeks on my internet joureys because i had visited their site. |

Yahoo trending.. Adam Lambert #1.. Adam is a press magnet, and the coverage for Queen all over the world ,yes he is, no he isn't ,oh confirmed yes he is appearing with Queen.You can't pay enough money for this type of press.
American Radio is important to get your name out there... DONE,to sell singles..not worth a lot in money, but in press coverage.. DONE.
This OTT publicity will also get Adam tour dates, and this is where the money is. Thank the lord for YOUTUBE,because Adam will get a lot of hits,by people who want to check Queens choice of singer out.
People around the world aren't going to listen to some crappy dJs from the United States and Adam is about world stardom.
