(However, I agree that letting Adam's music do the talking is the way to go here...) true. however I truly believe that there are hard core fans that are imprinted on Freddie - same way I am imprinted on Adam - and nobody/never will be "good enough". I really understand that feeling, because that is how I feel about anything Adam touched - including every cover he did, not to mention his own songs... |

It's fabulous that so many Atopers are going to Sonisphere! I was tempted but there is no way I can do 2 transatlantic trips this year and one has been booked for 2 months. So - I will live vicariously through our amazing group! And I'm not even jealous!  hehe....I'm thrilled for everyone going also - but I was seriously bummed out yesterday.... really tempted, but couldn't justify the cost. All I had to to was whine a bit and hubby would have said "buy the damn tickets" but my practical side won out.....I'll wait for Adam's Trespassing tour, and look out credit card! :D still jealous of all you adventuresome souls!! |

Here is a comment from the Huffingtonpost article about Adam and Queen - obviously huge Queen fan but still respectful of the opportunity for Adam...
"Like many others, I found out about Queen when "Bohemian Rhapsody" hit the charts in the 70's. I loved them then. When Freddie teamed up with David Bowie, I started to realize there was more there than met the eye. But, I didn't realize what we lost until after Freddie died. I appreciate him and Queen more and more every time I hear them.
My wife and I like Adam. If he can be himself, while doing Freddie's songs, then I will be happy. He won't be Freddie, and he'll have to earn his own place, outside of Freddie's shoes, for me to feel the same about him. But, I think he can bring something that previous front men haven't."

Late to the game. Drive by to say, I don't care what the Freddie fanatics are saying. I care if the hatred they are spewing reaches Adam and hurts him or makes him insecure with his decision. So, I'm gonna tweet Adam encouragement and appreciation. Best thing I can do in response to the hatred and Adam's tweet.
