OMG!! ATOPS ARE GONNA HAVE A PAR'TEH!!!!! YAY!! LOL! Durberville I just got back here and was reading the thread and saw your post. I'm unfortunately not able to go to Sonisphere but I was talking about the article cookie is getting for us on Adam. I think some others were talking about it also. But I think for sure the new ATOPS going are Catz, shadow. and butterfly!!I'll go update my list.  Soooo happy for all of you! |

Are you going through the fanclub site? I still see them listed.... adamlambertfans.com/edit/ tried to link the exact page but won't work unless I go through the main fanclub link...maybe that's why you aren't seeing them? Haha! What the heck - the post I was trying to quote and respond to....disappeared. I guess you found them bb.  Thanks, durbs. Just got my VIP ticket for Saturday! The fact is that for some of us, the process we have seen unfold the last few weeks with BTIKM and the brilliant video is encapsulated by the old saying "casting pearls before swine." The fact is that Adam IS different than American Top 40 radio in 2012. I have tried to listen to it and it is all workout music.
Adam IS more talented. His songs ARE more musical and interesting. He has ideas and thoughts he wants to share with us, not merely a 4/4 beat and some kind of semi-literate rant to go along with it. I've seen comments like this so many times that I can't help but wonder if we are aware of what is being played on HAC and CHR. 4 of the top 10 songs on CHR at this time would not be in the category of work out music. There is room on CHR for complex songs with good lyrics and for SINGERS! BTIKM is having trouble getting airplay on HAC. It is not because it is a song that is too complex or the song is out of the ordinary. Here is the top 20 on HAC at this moment: 1. Adele- Set Fire to The Rain 2. Kelly Clarkson- Stronger 3. Bruno Mars- It Will Rain 4. Katy Perry- The One That Got Away 5. Gavin DeGraw- Not Over You 6. Rihanna- We Found Love 7. Coldplay- Paradise 8. Train- Drive By 9. Maroon 5- Moves Like Jagger 10. Jessie J- Domino 11. The Fray- Heartbeat 12. Christina Perri- A Thousand Years 13. Kelly Clarkson- Mr. Know It All 14. Daughtry- Crawling Back to You 15. David Guetta- Without You 16. Jason Mraz- I Won't Give Up 17. Selena Gomez- Love You Like a Love Song 18. Snow Patrol- Called Out in the Dark 19. Andy Grammar- Fine by Me 20. Hot Chelle Rae- I like it Like That This is not all workout music with a 4/4 beat. How is BTIKM better or more complex than these songs? BTIKM would fit in perfectly with the list of songs currently being played on HAC stations. |

Catz, That is wonderful news. This is a bit OT but yesterday I watched a documentary called "The Topp Twins: Untouchable Girls" about a yodeling country singing-and-comedy lesbian sibling duo from New Zealand. I am sure you have probably seen them. I thought it was great and I could see parallels in their insights and Adam's as outsiders and also just doing what they want to do. One interesting point they made is that if you have something controversial to say, people are much more willing to listen to a song, rather than a speech. Go Adam!!! Yes, the Topp Twins have been pretty famous here for many years. They've done concerts, commercials, had their own prime timeTV series at one stage and have their own movie. They are hilarious and are very much loved. Quote: ...
