Yesterday, Adam Tweeted this simple statement, “Haters: y'all just adding fuel to my fire! U make me work harder. Thank you for the motivation.” The comment started me thinking. (Always a dangerous think -- Q3 thinking!!)
I do not really care what inspired Adam to Tweet this. It does not matter. Hate exists. It always has and it always will. What changes is how we respond to the hate.

The easiest course is to ignore it. “La la la la” – she sings as she ignores things she does not want to hear. Hand over eyes – she does not see what she does not wish to admit is real.

But there is another course – a truly evolved course – move beyond the hate. Use the hate as motivation. And if you can marshal the personal strength to use the hate, to convert it into positive energy, you can steal the power and strength of your enemies.
Adam wrote, “…y’all just adding fuel to my fire!” The reference to fire reminded me of this great quote…

But I do not want to light a candle – I want to Adamize the darkness. I want to rewrite this expression, “It is better to light a bond fire with fireworks shooting out of it to eliminate the darkness. “
I love fire – its brightness, its ability to warm and enlighten. I am equally awed by its power to destroy those who play with fire without knowledge and skill. Adam has proven to be a Grandmaster of verbal leverage, a man with the capacity to handle fire and flames. He knows how to amplify the positive and resist the temptation to be dragged into foolish battles.
