I'm loving the reviews and really, really hope that this opens the door for Adam to get more Broadway work, should he choose it. Although, from what he's said in interviews, this isn't the first role that was offered to him. I just don't want him to stop doing music lol...I'm a very demanding fan lol.
Cute, handsome, sexy...it's all good.

I am also thrilled to see so much praise for Adam from non-Glamberts. He is so special, and it is so great to see him seen and heard by a much wider audience. But I'm saddened by the low ticket sales. There shouldn't be any empty seats in that theater. Not one. Adam is terrific in this so I am not surprised that the "regular" theater goers are impressed. The producers are in a tight spot with this production. It was a monster, Olivier award winning hit in London and has now survived multiple cast replacements. But it received a lukewarm reception on Broadway, with Eddie's performance being extremely polarizing here-- and the tony performance, which usually helps a show, probably hurt the show. Now they want to keep it running with new leads, neither of whom are huge audience draws (Adam has a passionate fanbase but it alone is not going to fill a broadway theater for 8 shows a week). the producers need a major newspaper like the NYTimes or the NY Post to go back and re-review the show in order to truly generate buzz and continued ticket sales. Then they can buy some full page ads,do some billboards with review quotes. But will the NYT or Post do a re-review? they usually do not (and haven't thus far), although sometimes they drop in a remark on a long running show (for example, they do not review every new lead in chicago, but every once in a while they will do a blurb on someone new). In the alternative they could try to convince the times to do an arts section profile or interview with adam and/or auli'i. But again, hasn't happened yet. I don't know if social media and theater board word of mouth, which is excellent to date, will be enough to keep this very expensive to produce show going. They need media quotes to advertise the show with. Come on Cabaert PR team -- get moving! I certainly hope they can keep it going through March because Adam is really showing that he is a stellar broadway caliber performer (which we knew!) and, selfishly, I want to see it again.

Thanks jujubee2. I hope the show gets some more media attention as it goes along. BTW, did I understand it right? Is Adam back now? Doing his next show? Did I miss something?

Duh, never mind. Looks like he's back! Apparently no COVID.

I agree there should be far more PR, but I don't know how often that happens with replacement leads.I wish there were more prime time and late night talk show interviews with eithere Adam or both Adam and Auli'i.
I don't know about the sales. When I look at dates that I want, nothing is ever sold out. But, usually mostly. I think Cabaret maybe in that situation. As far as the ads with cheaper tickets, I was actually at a different broadway show yesterday (not sold out) and the show I was at, as well as several others, all had ads in playbill for low price tickets $59, $69 etc. When I went online to look it seemed some of them (Cabaret, as well) were almost "come-on" ads. There were no actual seats that cheap. They were resales where you had to purchase several seats - or it was the price before taxes and fees, which add a different amount, or perhaps on different dates, not the ones I was searching.
