Just chipping in with my Brit TV favs - Monty Python!!!! (Just saw Spamalot a couple weeks ago and may be converting son & husband to Pythonism ) Watched some Dr. Who back in early 80's and had a REALLY long scarf in college. BAD special effects - does anyone else remember a verson of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy from that time period - the bad effects alone were reason to watch it :D I was lucky enough to see the live "Beyond the Fringe" (Alan Bennett, Peter Cook, Jonathan Miller, Dudley Moore) when I was VERY young (my mother is a crazy theater buff and never censored what she took me to see) and I think it led to my love of crazy British humor. I seem to be spamming the thread at the moment, but just have to chime in to say I LOVED Spamalot. I saw it the first time in New York with a friend who had never seen Python before and an audience full of crazy fans. The curtains would open, the audience would start screaming with laughter, and my friend would lean over and ask "Why are they laughing?" and all I could say was "They know what comes next." And how to tie this to Adam? Hmmmm... He like the UK and these guys are FROM the UK? No? Uhmmmm. We've all seen GNT videos so many times that we can just see the outfits and we know what comes next? I give up... I'll find something Adam to say next time.

In the Jewish religion you are usually given a Jewish/Hebrew name.. mine is Miryam.Anselm could be Adam's Jewish name... Just a guess. They got his birthday right, but list him as 23. ??? I wish they would calculate my birthday. I don't want to go back 6 years, but I would love to be 6 years younger.

Me thinks that someone needs to tweet the link to Slezak's comments to Mr. Durbin. He evoked Adam's name on twitter and the pack is on it. ERM WAT. WAT HAPPENED NOW?

YOU'VE NEVER SEEN MONTY PYTHON???? How can that be? You have to find the dead parrot sketch. And the Ministry of Silly Walks. I could quote whole scenes of the Holy Grail to you if you'd like. Monty Python should be part of every person's cultural education. Wait! I found a clip of Ministry of Silly Walks for you. I'm afraid my complete pleasure in this says nothing good about me. ummm am I weird if I didn't laugh? ??? Oh, dear god. It may be too late for you. I'm so sorry about that.

Wooooo, just switched programmes prior to shutting down and there's Brian May doing Sky at Night. Very strange but equally impressive, his other persona. ETA: Sorry Dr Brian May :-[. About Queen, you know how it's their 40th anniversary this year and all?; 2011. also marks 20 years since Freddie is no longer with us ( in Nov). I was thinking the other day, maybe they'd do some kind of big tribute concert like the one in 1992, and naturally that got me thinking if it happened, whether Adam could sing on that? I remember Brian and Roger Taylor saying beautiful things about him, and I'm sure they didn't just forget about him. Also, it could all play very well, especially if around that time Adam's new single becomes huge. I really got the feeling RCA/Sony are planning to do a big promo push for Adam with this new album. There are a ton of female big stars right now, and pretty much none male. Bruno Mars, I think, is bound to become one, but he's very different from Adam, both style and genre-wise, so I think there's an open spot for one big male pop, rock star; and IDKW, but I think they're gonna push Adam for it. All that talk about releasing the album at the same time worldwide just confirms that little theory of mine Whataya all think? Wouldn't it be great? I'd kill to hear him sing Another one bites the dust, Bohemian rhapsody or The show must go on (or what about Innuendo?or Love of my life?

You have to find the dead parrot sketch. I'm scared of getting my knuckles rapped for meandering too far off topic, so I'll just give you the URL and run www.youtube.com/watch?v=npjOSLCR2hE&NR=1It is an absolute classic though, one of the funniest ever - 5 minutes long . ETA: it effectively finishes about half-way through. (Then it meanders off-topic

I used to love "Good Neighbors" and "Lord of the Manor" and then more recently "AbFab"(so Funny) OT I haven't seen Sandysva lately and was wondering idf she is around? Cookiejar, thank you for asking, I'm still around! Been pretty busy with work lately but have been keeping up with the threads. I had a great dinner with rjackspf at Gibson's in Richmond a week ago yesterday - we were reliving memories of the great evening we all had there and at the National! I was just going to add that I loved Fawlty Towers, both when I lived in the U.K. when I was in the Air Force, and later when I came back to the U.S. NoAngel, Skylar, thank you for your wonderful posts today. They cheered me up and made me cry at the same time. Can't wait for Thursday night! There you are!! Glad to know you are doing well. Y'all will have to come to the other beach sometime.
