IDK tho listening to these ppl talk makes me feel like WTF am I doing...this is sooo not my kind of scene to go to...el oh el.
I also have to laugh at them loving the SUPER METAL KISS but Queen's songs aren't rock enough. Yeah because BETH is a super metal jam

Did that NME interviewer seem kind of antagonistic towards Adam? Like he was kind of being a dick with some of the questions IMO. Adam handled it beautifully but they guy seemed to come shy of coming right out and saying you have no business singing with Queen I actually didn't read into the interview's feeling, but he did ask lots of questions that Queen fans and others have been batting back and forth. So for me, I'm actually a little grateful that someone took the time to ask those questions of him so that he could be the one to answer them rather than folks projecting what they think he should/would say. I agree with you here. I think it is good that Adam answered these questions. Sometimes different cultures with the same language don't read each other exactly the way it is intended. I remember living in the States for a bit and coming across this sometimes, even for a native English speaker like my husband it was sometimes tricky to make himself understood fully

www.pressparty.com/pg/newsdesk/adamlambert/view/41284/Adam Lambert might "wear a helmet" during his Sonisphere set with Queen Adam Lambert has opened up about his forthcoming live set with Queen at Sonisphere Festival and insists he isn't afraid of the sometimes icy reception acts can be met with at rock and metal events in the UK. Speaking exclusively to the NME, the 'Whataya Want From Me' powerhouse admits he was surprised to hear that bands in the past have been 'bottled' and joked that he might wear a "helmet" while on stage to be on the safe side: "Oh great! Well I'll be sure to wear something that protects my helmet. I wear a helmet onstage, maybe that would be a good fashion statement." He also stressed that he is in no way trying to replace the late Freddie Mercury and only wants to use his own stunning vocal abilities to emulate the stage presence and star power the 'We Will Rock You' legend possessed:

Thank God Adam loves a challenge - 'cuz he'll be walking into a lion's den with some of these metal fans, if they're anything like this "devil's advocate"!
He is NOT buying "this Adam Lambert guy."
"Weird, weird, a weird booking."
"I'm surprised that they think they can headline with this guy Adam Lambert."
Queen seems determined "to piss on their own legacy."
Thinks they are "courting a different strand of music listeners to the ones that would normally attend Sonisphere."
"If this Adam Lambert guy isn't a complete and utter bellcheese[?] and just keeps his mouth shut and sings the songs [that could be tricky] then they might be great."
"Lot of pressure on that Adam Lambert guy," the other guy concludes.
(What's a "bellcheese"?)
(Antagonistic as he is, he's actually kind of funny, to me.)

May be a weird booking, but sorry KISS is just as weird. They are not metal. They are a corporation designed to sell crap with their images on it disguised as a band. LOL
