Good interview tho at times the interviewer's questions kinda came off as....snotty? IDK if that's the appropriate word. I wanna say begrudgingly giving him compliments in some parts then in other parts kinda...IDK...not goading him but kinda giving him the side eye or something. LOL. Kinda like "Yeah you did alright...but do you realize that ppl may hate you? Who do you think you are again?" lolol Chill da fuq out. As for it being a "metal" festival....do they not realize the majority of the main acts are not really metal? Evanescense? Yeah not metal--they are hard-ish but imo not metal. KISS? HAHAHAHAHA. Sooo not metal. The Darkness? IMO they are more glam-rock-ish. I think he will be fine I just hope no one lobs a bottle of piss at him. LOL. I would hope the fans would respect Brian and Roger enough not to do something like that. Someone needs to let the writer knows that Adam was performing on the metal festival Maxidrom last year. And most of the male attendees ended up admiring his vocals... including the cynical radio station dj

Their concern is the setlist Queen will play. Early Queen music, which was rock, not the pop/disco they did in later years, is what will go over well at this type of concert. Roger Taylor would have an aneurysm if he read his music described that way. There were precious few songs that were borderline "disco" and they were Freddie songs that the band did against Roger's wishes and Brian's better judgment. I consider them rock to power rock to stadium rock to orchestral rock with the odd novelty tune. But I would never associate the word disco with Queen. Just curious.. which would you consider borderline?

Never judge a book by its cover - very good advice.
I was chatting to the site manager and the head accountant, both look like dyed in the wool suits, but I know the site manager has just got a new large motorbike, so I thought he would be interested in me going to Sonisphere. I was really impressed when the accountant said he went to Knebworth the year of Queens last visit. So we got to Adam singing and I said give him a listen the EMA set is a real goodie and he said YES I KNOW I WATCHED HIM ON AI.
Only a small thing but it made me really happy.

Text 31043 for KBIG or mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/stationplaylistrequest.asp?c_let=KBIG-FM
I know that KBIG has played BTIKM at least once, but I haven't heard it yet. (Of course, I'm not listening to the station 24/7, so I might have missed it.) Do we have any idea when or how often they have been playing it since that first spin? Also, I've been requesting at KBIG via text or tweet every day. Is it better to text/tweet or fill out the mediabase form? Just curious whether one method is more effective than the others. Thanks!

I'm a member at Adam Official, but they won't let me vote unless I sign in again with Facebook??!! Bye bye, Adam Official, it was nice while it lasted, but I'm not mixing you with my Facebook friends! Can you sign in with twitter? I just use Twitter for Adam stuff and never really do anything with my friends or relatives. No, it didn't offer Twitter as an option. Like you, I generally use Twitter for Adam stuff and keep Facebook for family ...

Just curious.. which would you consider borderline? Without going to look song by song I would just say the whole Hot Space debacle. If I am remembering correctly it gave us one or two good songs and a whole lot of forgetable dreck. I don't even own it. ETA: For me Brian's guitar is as much (or more!) the essence of Queen as Freddie's voice, and as disco lacks guitar it simply doesn't compute to hear them referenced as pop/disco.

That's right and I will gladly leap from my grandstand seat and throw myself on stage to deflect any incoming pee bottles! Not worried about piss-bombs. We've seen how Adam deals with insolent on-stage projectiles: Them metal-fans betta learn to duck! ;D LMFAO!!!! ;D

legacy.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=170226This NME article made the news have another round of articles lol! ADAM LAMBERT: I'm Not Trying To Imitate Or Outdo FREDDIE MERCURY Or Compete In Any Way - Feb. 24, 2012 QUEEN's Brian May and Roger Taylor have confirmed the band will headline the second day of U.K.'s Sonisphere appearing on the Apollo stage on Saturday, July 7. Knebworth was the setting for QUEEN's final concert with Freddie Mercury, in August 1986. May and Taylor also confirmed that for this very special event they will be joined by U.S. singer-songwriter, and "American Idol" finalist, Adam Lambert. The potent chemistry between QUEEN and Lambert broke the surface when at the invitation of Brian May and Roger Taylor, Lambert joined them for the closing showcase at the recent MTV Europe Music Awards where QUEEN were present to collect their "Global Icon" award. During a brand new interview with NME.com, Lambert insisted that he is not trying to replace the later Freddie Mercury. He said, "The way I look at it is I'm not trying to imitate or outdo him or compete in any way, that's not even in my mind at all, I think it's really an honor to be asked to sing the music that he and the band wrote and get up there and put on a good show. If people are too busy trying to compare, they're not going to enjoy the music."
