Oh.. I forgot to answer the question (yesterday or the day before yesterday?) re where Adam went so much out that his voice broke - it is at 2:48 in this recording ...unless you think he did that on purpose... your thoughts... Oh yeah, that weird note, thanks for answering. I really don't think he meant to do that, but it doesn't sound quite right, lol. And I don't think his voice broke, but I don't know what the word is for that though. Maybe Cassie can tell us. I don't hear a crack here, despite listening a bajillion times. What I hear is a very intense squeezing of the voice. The note is continuous whereas, if his voice broke, there would be a momentary, microsecond of no note. IMO.

I asked a few days ago if anyone heard anything about Adam and Queen on classic rock radio stations. Radio experts in the know can correct me if I'm wrong, but the last I heard Q104.3 NYC is the Arbitron #1 classic rock station in the country. Hubby told me tonight that Jim Kerr (morning DJ) talked about Adam fronting for Queen. Did not mention Idol. Did mention that Brian and Roger said that Freddie would approve. Did mention that the EMA's showed how well Adam will do. All paraphrasing, but I asked hubby the questions that we don't necessarily like the answers to and not one of them was mentioned.
ETA: DJ said that it was a one off show, but that insider rumors are hinting that there would be US dates for some more one off's.
WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN.

Adam said that his current ring tone is "Another One Bites the Dust" so I have a feeling that might be on the setlist...I would love to hear that!

I don't really know, as long as he has tight, tight leather pants, and a top short enough that his front and back is "exposed" since he's always covering one up or the other. Sorry, feeling pervy at the moment : I've gotta fantasy of Adam in a tight low cut tank and tight leather pants...(the important word here is TIGHT) lol! Yes!! I'm so with you! What I'm thinking about, is that he have his tight black leather pants, with an asymmetrical cut jacket, that's only waste length in the back, and sharp and long in the front. He can have a V neck shirt for all I care, as long as that's tight as well, lol. He has been looking really sexy lately, but I miss the tight leather pants.

I'd like Queen + Adam to perform "Don't Stop Me Now" at Sonisphere. I think the lyrics are perfect for Adam, especially for the occasion (and I think he could have a good time singing the song, too). I LOVE this performance and I love the song. I hope Adam gets to sing this. This is my song while driving on the way home from work after a very stressful day. Listen to Roger's drum at 2.04 and then Brian's guitar starting 2.19.. full volume in my car.. ;D ;D ;D

Adam has hit higher notes but the phrasing is sooo tricky and you need a lot of rasp to pull it off convincingly.

OT apparently but can someone tell me if there's any point in voting at VH1 for BTIKM - I thought I read here recently that the video was being pulled (which truly broke my heart) but since VH1 still allowed me to vote for it, I have been. But would be grateful if someone could let me know if there's any chance it will be in Top 20. Please and thank you. Also am on board for the Leap Day push for Charity Water though I'm increasingly wondering why fandom isn't supporting Adam in this. It is one of the few shows of support we actually control but only about a 1,000 people out of Adam's fandom have donated (taking into account a number of people have donated more than once.) I know I'm preaching to the choir here at Atop; I'm just out of ideas for motivating greater fandom. I hesitate to do math but I think at this point there would need to be well over a $1,000 day in donations to meet the goal by the time it closes. Ah well I guess. Mika, glad you are delurking. That's a rumor. It is still on the voting list. Nobody knows one way or the other. I wouldn't stop voting!!!! We will know more tomorrow. About Charity Water, I don't understand either. Maybe there are so many other distractions that people are not paying attention. It seems like some of the other boards aren't doing much either. I'm really surprised about the low total this year! It's like a lot of people are ignoring it. And for some people, times are difficult.

I think if Adam would just send out another tweet reminding people about the campaign, it would pick up tremendously. As I've mentioned before, it would take only a small donation each by a small percentage of his Twitter followers to push the total over the goal line. I'm hoping he'll find out about the Leap Day effort and tweet his support. It's hard to get in touch with him via Twitter because he gets so many tweets everyday from fans, but maybe if we all sent a tweet letting him know about it, he'd see the information and urge his followers to join the campaign.
