I'm guessing on VH1 that there are other factors such as radio play and sales that factor in -- hard for me to believe it's that he didn't get enough votes as the VH1 twitter feed was littered with Adam votes. If radio play and sales count and this week's improvement continues then maybe next week as the new ones listed are constantly on my radio station. Definitely a head scratcher for me but sure fired up to keep on voting!!!! Wasn't he listed for jump start? so what happened ,maybe on earlier in the AM? |

David Cook's video appeared on Top 20 several times despite minimal sales and spins....and it is unlikely he got more votes. Clearly the video is being held back. Two possible reasons 1.RCA has decided to move on, or 2. they are waiting until the song has a greater presence on radio. Last week I think we all would have thought 1. was the answer, but with the new activity this week....spins, promo, chart movement.....I think it is maybe 2.
And for what it is worth, I heard from "someone in London" that the Sonisphere/Queen announcement was supposed to have been four weeks earlier than it turned out to be.

I really think their own viewing statistic is used to play into the number, and everybody seems to watch BTIKM either on VEVO or Youtube. The VH1 site shows not even 50K views yet. The reason, I think it plays into the mix is that last year, this is how we voted with our feet at a time, when the video was not even listed to be voted on. We created, if I recall right, millions of views and that did it. This year we are somehow as a fan base not doing it and relying on this vote 20 times via twitter/fb thing. And it does not seem to work. So I think we need to up the viewing counter, if we want to see any changes. Thank you Doubtful, because others on the countdown have very minimal views. VH1 doesn't say what their countdown is based on but the "You Oughta Know" artists are always featured and others without much presence elsewhere show up so I speculate that it is pretty random and they will stick in whoever they want whenever they want. I don't think we can compare with the IIHY launch because VH1 had the exclusive for that and he was their Posted Artist too so it all tied in together. This time Vevo had the exclusive so that could be why it was delayed and at this point I think RCA may be holding it back for strategic purposes. I say we definitely should NOT slack off on the voting. If it is true that the Queen announcement was supposed to come earlier that could explain why everything is so disjointed. I remember the big article in Sunday Times in the UK was originally supposed to be in January then was moved up so maybe that move was because they wanted it out before the Sonisphere announcement but then the announcement got pushed back and screwed up the whole launch. Could also explain the tabloid leak because maybe that was a slip that happened due to the delay of the announcement. More radio promo is lined up for this week so I doubt that RCA is dropping this single yet. The resurgence on radio could mean that they are calling in their markers and it will finally take off. I am hopeful so I'm not going to worry about the countdown yet. The iTunes positions are holding better and I think both the Queen press and the Jump Start views are showing small bumps in sales so I really think we just need to keep requesting and voting and trust that RCA has a plan because I really think they do. |

ohh btw.. yes.. I agree.. the shoes will never fit coz Adam has bigger shoes size than Freddie .. Exactly!! ;D Ha. Can't wait to see Adam and Queen perform together again! It's going to be crazy! I'm not going to Sonisphere myself (I think I'm too young to go to rock concerts like that...) but still looking forward to some good youtube vids, pictures, tweets and stuff. |
