The info that the Sonisphere announcement may have been delayed by 4 weeks makes sense in light of the disjointed promo we've seen. This is a reminder to me to just watch and enjoy what happens and not try to tell RCA what to do. Obviously there is a lot of things we don't know.
I still think it is a good idea to give more views to the BTIKM video on VH1. I'd like to see it listed with Today's Most Popular music videos. Isn't that based on viewer counts?

Could the VH1 scorn be happening because the album has been pushed back?
Personally, I am taking my own petty little form of revenge. Currently, gmail has decided their emails are spam, and I'm leaving it that way.
THAT will show them.

David Cook's video appeared on Top 20 several times despite minimal sales and spins....and it is unlikely he got more votes. Clearly the video is being held back. Two possible reasons 1.RCA has decided to move on, or 2. they are waiting until the song has a greater presence on radio. Last week I think we all would have thought 1. was the answer, but with the new activity this week....spins, promo, chart movement.....I think it is maybe 2. And for what it is worth, I heard from "someone in London" that the Sonisphere/Queen announcement was supposed to have been four weeks earlier than it turned out to be.Sometimes best laid plans aren't? This make sense to me.

There is more to making the VH1 Top 20 countdown than fan votes but they have not disclosed what else they use.
But votes are a large part of getting on the countdown.

I have been watching the Adam, Kris, Queen finale of WATC. I am such a naive fool. Obviously, there is no way that the Idol producers found out a week from the finale that Adam would be in the final two and reached out to Queen to perform. "Oh, BTW, if you are not doing anything oh, say, six days from now, would you like to come on our little TV reality show in LA and play WATC with our two finalists? One is a really good rocker." "Gee, thanks for thinking of us. Hmmm, six days from now? Gee, my calendar looks free. And performing on a reality show has always been a dream of mine. Sure. Sign me up." If there was ever definitive proof that these results were engineered, it has to be getting Kiss and Queen on the show with less than a week's lead time. Not complaining, mind you. It was fantastic entertainment. And, thank God, Idol hooked up Adam and Queen. But, I have to say I have a strong suspicion I was manipulated and tricked by AI. Quelle suprise! cassie.. RCA already had Adam in their bag on the top 5, so I think that's the week when they start planning for the finalle night. They might have reached out to Queen longer than 5 weeks since Adam had been the front runner since top 13. But if AI did reached out to Queen 5-6 weeks prior, I believed they wanted Queen to perform only with Adam. I think they changed the scenario when Danny got voted off. So they brought KISS and Keith Urban to the show. :-/

I really think their own viewing statistic is used to play into the number, and everybody seems to watch BTIKM either on VEVO or Youtube. The VH1 site shows not even 50K views yet. The reason, I think it plays into the mix is that last year, this is how we voted with our feet at a time, when the video was not even listed to be voted on. We created, if I recall right, millions of views and that did it. This year we are somehow as a fan base not doing it and relying on this vote 20 times via twitter/fb thing. And it does not seem to work. So I think we need to up the viewing counter, if we want to see any changes. YMMV www.vh1.com/video/adam-lambert/730496/better-than-i-know-myself.jhtml#artist=3188063---------------------- Cassie: re Queen/Adam collaboration: Brilliantly said . Thank you We talked about this last Saturday and no view count definitely has no bearing on making the countdown. The Ellie Goulding song that made it last week had just 600 views on VH1. ETA to clarify Ellie Goulding song is constantly on my radio station... OT and the song gets on my last nerve (not often I say this about any music). I've been turning the radio off when the song plays.
