Could the VH1 scorn be happening because the album has been pushed back? Personally, I am taking my own petty little form of revenge. Currently, gmail has decided their emails are spam, and I'm leaving it that way. THAT will show them. Yes and I just unsubscribed from VH1. I'm imagining they are hurt and have worked out why I hate them.

Again, the Queen documentary, which I'm still sitting here watching.... English press scorned and criticized them and it took them 8 years..... 8 years to break into the US market. All the worriers have to watch this because it is not only interesting, fun, and really informative, but it puts a whole new perspective on gaining success.
One of statements I liked was by Roger when talking about Freddie's CONTROL FREAK tendencies, though not the term he uses, says, "Freddie was cheeky." Well, Adam is cheeky, too, needing to be in on every aspect, even when dealing with "experts" in whatever facet they are working on. Reference about Freddie is made as he tells the sound tech/producer how to mix. Lovely.
Things are truly different in the music industry today, but still same shit, different version a la Microsoft 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, etc.

I have been watching the Adam, Kris, Queen finale of WATC. I am such a naive fool. Obviously, there is no way that the Idol producers found out a week from the finale that Adam would be in the final two and reached out to Queen to perform. "Oh, BTW, if you are not doing anything oh, say, six days from now, would you like to come on our little TV reality show in LA and play WATC with our two finalists? One is a really good rocker." "Gee, thanks for thinking of us. Hmmm, six days from now? Gee, my calendar looks free. And performing on a reality show has always been a dream of mine. Sure. Sign me up." If there was ever definitive proof that these results were engineered, it has to be getting Kiss and Queen on the show with less than a week's lead time. Not complaining, mind you. It was fantastic entertainment. And, thank God, Idol hooked up Adam and Queen. But, I have to say I have a strong suspicion I was manipulated and tricked by AI. Quelle suprise! cassie.. RCA already had Adam in their bag on the top 5, so I think that's the week when they start planning for the finalle night. They might have reached out to Queen longer than 5 weeks since Adam had been the front runner since top 13. But if AI did reached out to Queen 5-6 weeks prior, I believed they wanted Queen to perform only with Adam. I think they changed the scenario when Danny got voted off. So they brought KISS and Keith Urban to the show. :-/ I do not think anyone ever revealed when KISS was booked and no reason to believe that it was done in the last week. RCA/Sony had nothing to do with booking Queen (or anyone else) on the Idol Finale. That is done by 19. There are some comments from Simon Fuller and Ken Warrick about the bookings for the finale back in 2009. And the RCA decision to sign Adam after the Top 5 was internal (within RCA) and not discussed with 19E or Adam. No Idol contestant is allowed to discuss a recording contract until after the show ends and after 19R decides if they want to sign them. The Idol producers always book acts for the top finishers that they believe will drive ratings along with some big stars who do solo performances. Personally, I still think that KISS + Adam was only good because Adam stole the show and got to do "Beth". I can think of many, many better choices to showcase Adam. ETA: Like Adam + Pink (Pink opened the show) doing "So What" would have been so much better and would have done more to position Adam as relevant and a Pop-Rock artist.

There is more to making the VH1 Top 20 countdown than fan votes but they have not disclosed what else they use. But votes are a large part of getting on the countdown. well I'm done wasting my time voting Not me ,I'm upping my voting/ viewing everywhere..

Regarding the VH1 countdown, the only thing that makes any sense to me is that RCA, for whatever reason, is holding the video back. If David Cook's TLG could make the countdown, there is no reason why BTIKM is not on there. I think label deals play a huge role in what makes it. I also think that RCA knew that TLG was probably going to be Cook's only music video. Adam will hopefully have several. I am just going to have faith that RCA know what they're doing and that they are making decisions in Adam and Trespassing's best interests. I think there is a ton of politics involved.
That Queen documentary was amazing. I discovered them late, they were a little before my time, I guess. After watching I can totally see why Roger and Brian just fell in love with Adam. He truly embodies Freddie's spirit.

Ooh, Pink would have been spectacular. Girl does not get enough accolades here in the US. I always felt as if the Adam/KISS connection came about because the producers had so little understanding of what Adam was plus a severe lack of imagination. They saw Adam referencing Makeup!! Rock n Roll!! Dress up!! and to them that equaled KISS. I do think that their inclusion seals the opinion that the Idols aren't consulted at all, because I am SURE singing with KISS was never on Adam's bucket list. The very fact that he made it though the set is a nod to his future as an actor. Queen, on the other hand, was inspired and no matter how it came about I will be forever grateful that it happened. Even if they and Adam never played another note together, that moment in that finale was THE BOMB. I still have the finale on my DVR and I fixed it so that it ends when they cut to commercials after that performance. The pinnacle moment in a pinnacle year for sure- and my most favorite Idol moment EVER.

I don't know how Queen came about but their agreeing to do it after Brian May's very vocal disgust with the whole proceedings in S5 tells me that they were enticed by Adam. Remember that by that time Slash had mentored because of Adam and Led Zep had approved WLL for Adam to sing. I am quite sure IMO that Queen would not have been enticed back if not for Adam. They were not touring or promoting anything at that point and had in fact just ended their association with Paul Rogers and I think it is conceivable that in their minds they just might have been checking Adam out as a possible future vocalist. Not saying they ever offered him the job but they definitely expressed an interest in working with him again. But Brian had been very open about how badly he felt things went with Queen's previous involvement with AI so the fact that they were there in my opinion could only have been because there was something there worth being in on and Adam has to have been it.
