NoAngel, thank you for another great essay! I enjoy reading all of them! I didn't read the thread yet, but I listened to Adam's interview and while reading your essay I pictured this image in my head: [glow=red,2,300]φωτιά στο εσωτερικό - fire within[/glow] It's not a dragon here but a phoenix, though I think it pictures the fire of Adam's soul quite well too. 2nd single will be announced soon...  I have had a feeling that the 2nd single will be out in time for the UK single push and I seriously think that RCA had always intended for there to be 2 singles out before the release of the album here. BTIKM to reintroduce Adam and to say, "Look at this sweet guy! Hey, you, conservative areas, it is OK to play him!" That strategy seemed to work since I have been surprised at the areas of the country that added the song early on! Soon we will get fierce dancey Adam! All this promo is laying the groundwork for the 2nd single! |

QUESTION: is this poll important/relevant or is it like the last one against Ryan Star and his mixed band of fans ?? I have been voting for 10 minutes and the numbers barely move. Considering we all know PDs make up the playlists, I'd say this poll is full of crap! ;D |

NoAngel I found this and thought of you!  This dragon looks like it was made of Kale! Does anyone know if SNO resulted in a spin of BTIKM? Wasn't that supposed to be a big deal if it did? |

Lots of people here have suggested watching the Queen documentary "Days Of Our Lives," and I want to add my own recommendation. Seriously, folks, watch this!!!! I stayed up til almost midnight watching it last night, and it's SO GOOD! I will definitely second this. Watching the documentary was time well spent and I came away thinking that not only have I always loved Queen but now I appreciate them even more. The segment where Brian talks about bringing his father on the Concorde to the Madison Square Garden concert brought tears to my eyes (and Brian's) and was so beautiful. Also, Adam indeed does have balls of steel to take this on. |

 I think that Adam is an excellent dancer on par with most global pop stars -- and well above the average Idol contestant, I still do not understand why he said that -- but maybe he could not think of anything else? Cause in my "completely unbiased opinion" he was pretty much perfect on Idol. Yes, but think about who he hangs out with. On his tour he was much closer to the dancers than the band. I am quite sure that he sees himself as awkward in comparison to the AMAZING people he hangs out with on a regular basis. Just as he sees himself as pretty vanilla and even kind of boring compared to the amazing exotic people he associates with. It is a matter of perspective and his view is filled with extraordinary talent surrounding him on all sides while we see mostly HIM. [laughs] I see a guy with a perfectly straight back settle down onto one knee while the guys around him are collapsing to do the same move (tho' I shouldn't talk, b/c I would do the exact same thing - don't have that kind of thigh strength!). But yeah, if you hang around with Terrance and Sasha and Brooke all time, maybe one would feel a bit uncoordinated in comparison. |

I have a question for whoever can answer I noticed this trend like what happened with Adam's chat last night. Before the chat is even cold people are ripping it and passing it around. It's posted on YouTube and sitting on peoples iPods. It's wonderful the cleverness of Adam's fans but does anyone else feel that at times that hurts rather than helps? To me it takes away hits from SNOL's website and belies the true popularity of Adam. Other examples are Adam's performance on Ellen. Again fans rip it and post their own version on YouTube and once again take away hits from Ellen's site. I do know for a fact that one of the measurements of popularity of an artist is how much traffic they draw. I notice the same thing when an article posts pics of Adam. People right away rip it put it to their own twitpic than tweet it out again. Some of these measurements are important. For example Celebrity-gossip.net a big supporter of Adam gets 14 million readers per month. They are always showing Adam pics in a nice way. Yet I see people ripping them and passing them around rather than directing people to that website thereby driving traffic. These sites will lose interest if articles about Adam don't generate traffic plus it belies the true popularity of Adam. I truly do admire the skills of A's fans though. I've worried about this too. It's so easy to just stay right here on site instead of giving hits to the original site which would show how interested people really are in anything Adam. I don't know the answer to this problem. :-/ Q3? Anyone?Honestly, I just make a concerted effort to click on every single link, whether or not I have time to read it or it the information is repetitive. The clicks are counted and ARE considered important since it is #clicks is used as a popularity metric. However, because of firewall and other issues, I generally don't watch vids until they come here in YouTube form. I'll click on the links to give the sites credit for carrying Adam content (!!!), but I generally *watch* here. If I could watch on the original site, I would though. |
